Carla Fracci Aurora ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 26 April 2012 8 Comments

Carla Fracci Aurora

Italian ballerina Carla Fracci will launch Aurora, a new fragrance for women inspired by the ballet Sleeping Beauty:

In a vibrant breaking of a spell, like a long-awaited kiss, Aurora makes a luminous and scintillating appearance, with the sparkling and toning scents of Bergamot and Pink Pepper. A delicate but passionate awakening gently comes to life: the rich and intense floral notes of Rose of May open up, illuminated by romantic Violet and the velvety notes of White Peach. As in a performance of enchanting beauty, soft and delightful touches of Heliotrope are enriched by the boisé character of Cedar Wood and the seductive vigour of Musk.

Carla Fracci Aurora will be available in 30 ml Parfum; 30, 50 or 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

There is nothing about the notes here that would make me think I could like the scent, but I do have to give kudos on the packaging….both the bottle and the box are quite attractive.

That lovely bottle strongly resembles the one for the original Carla Fracci parfum (not the easier-to-find Giselle).

As a ballet fan, I find the concept of this line very intriguing. Anyone ever tried the perfumes?? I’m thinking they’re more widely available in Europe…?

I believe I read somewhere that the biggest market is in Russia, although I’d assume they can also be found in Italy.

I like the concept. I wonder what a fragrance based off of the “Spartacus” ballet would smell like.

Blood and Sand? Or no…that would just be the television series, I suppose.

I will be no help — I know nothing about ballet!
