Issey Miyake has launched the annual limited edition summer versions of L’Eau d’Issey and L’Eau d’Issey Pour Homme. This year's bottles feature a palm frond theme.

Aquatic accord blerrgh. Rather lovely bottle though.
Well, that’s what L’Eau d’Issey is, so the flankers are bound to be similar 🙂
Funny thing with these Issey summer flankers: Every year they trot them out festooned in different artwork on the same bottle (most lovely), highlight different notes, and yet somehow they all smell exactly the same as they did the year before. While I once loved the men’s version, this style of scent hasn’t aged well, if you know what I mean. Calone as a star ingredient seems so..umm, early 90’s.
Maybe they don’t even change the juice, I really don’t know!
Me thinks no. But I guess there are lots of bottle collectors out there who love this sort of thing, eh?
Yep!
As above: Great bottle, boring juice.
Someone will love it though.
I’m imagining these bottles sitting alongside the Jean Paul Gaultier Summer 2012 bottles and smiling, as I like the tropical vibe all four bottles emit. Is festooning one’s bottles with greenery the summer flanker trend?
NP
They’re made by the same company, and some years, they have coordinating themes (I think last year or the year before, they were both decorated with ribbons).
another flanker of the flankers…oh blimey.
the bottle is great as ever though.
mr miyake please create another juice on our shelves !!
The flanker bottles are always so pretty and collectable.
