Cartier Eau de Cartier Essence de Bois ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 21 February 2012 18 Comments

Cartier Eau de Cartier Essence de Bois

Cartier will launch Eau de Cartier Essence de Bois, a new flanker to 2001's Eau de Cartier, this spring. Eau de Cartier Essence de Bois follows 2010's Eau de Cartier Essence d’Orange.

Eau de Cartier Essence de Bois is a fresh woody fragrance accented by oud wood. Additional notes include yuzu, bergamot, violet leaves, violet flower, lavender, musk, patchouli and ambergris.

Eau de Cartier Essence de Bois will probably be in 100 ml Eau de Toilette, but I will update when I can confirm size and concentration.

(via prime-beaute)

Update: Eau de Cartier Essence de Bois is available in 100 and 200 ml Eau de Toilette.

Another update: see a review of Eau de Cartier Essence de Bois.

Ahh, yuzu! There’s nothing like it. Would love to try this one.

It sounds worth a shot, and these aren’t usually too hard to find.

This sounds interesting. I’ve never tried any of the Cartier eaus. I just went back and read Kevin’s reviews of the first two. They sound like the kind of thing I might be interested in for the oppressive Austin summer…

They’re quite nicely done — not my favorites, but nice.

Hmm … did not find Essence D’Orange impressive and the violet may be a deal-breaker for me, but it’s surely worth at least a sniff.

I like the original better too.

The notes sound nice (though I, too, am sceptical of violet) and definitely worth a try. Cartier’s latest releases have been quite nice (Baiser Vole’ remains on my rotation and will probably get more wear in the spring). I’ll have to look for this one too.

BV is my favorite thing from Cartier in a good long while.

I’m just waiting to see which celebrity will be the first one to launch a Oud fragrance lol
When a friend commented in advance with me that Cartier would launch a Oud fragrance i couldn’t believe on what he said. And even less when he mentioned it’d be a flanker of Eau de Cartier. I’m not so sure if this will be good, but since i’m a cartier fan and i liked essence d’orange i’ll see if i can try this one too…

I think Cartier usually positions these as unisex, but don’t know what they’re doing this time.

i used to have the HUGE 6.7oz. bottle of the original and used to drown myself in it! I LOVE The original and the Concentree Version… haven’t smelled the orange version but am going to source a bottle… this sounds LOVELY! and am eager for a splash, or a bath in it! LOL!

I like BV as well, would be nice for spring, need to test it again before committing though but this one sounds interesting as well, would be worth a try.
