What a visual for inspiration. Now I want to try Absolue Pour le Soir even more than I already did, which is quite a bit. lol
Really, that was a great interview, though I was sad to hear Mr. Kurkdjian doesn’t plan on re-releasing anything from the past… *cough cough Indult cough cough* But I do like a lot of his work and think a scent inspired by grass might be good. I can’t agree about loving Oud as an eternal part of the perfumer’s palette, however, since I can’t find one that works for me and much prefer the animalics he suggests it replaces.
I am sorry he’s going to do oud (boy, am I sick of oud), glad to hear green grass!
Yes! Now that’s an image that makes me wanna buy a perfume. None of this lounging in a field somewhere (although I guess there’s a time for that as well).
I liked it too.
I’ve never smelled Absolue pour le Soir, but “Bianca Jagger in a little party dress” makes me think of a room-devouring rose chypre with a kick of spice and perhaps a dash of civet. Am I close?
I have not found anything from his line to be room-devouring, in fact, they’re all more “well behaved” than I would have expected.
