Demeter Mistletoe, Christmas Bouquet ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 22 December 2011 16 Comments

Demeter Mistletoe

Demeter has added two new holiday scents to their Fragrance Library, Mistletoe and Christmas Bouquet.

Mistletoe (shown) ~ "A deep, unisex, evergreen fragrance that will transport you to the very heart of the wintry forest, and whip up those romantic thoughts anytime."

Christmas Bouquet ~ "A swirl of Holiday flowers without even a touch of green. The heart of this fragrance is made from natural carnations, which give it a unique spiciness and creaminess."

Demeter Mistletoe and Christmas Bouquet are available in in 15, 30 or 120 ml Cologne ($6 – $39.50) and in matching bath & body products.

It does! Wonder if they have a “regular” carnation — they probably do.

They don’t, because if they did, you can be very sure that I would own it (I have at least fifty of their scents, mostly the minis). Carnation and Tarragon are two things that I can’t believe Demeter doesn’t have.

Tarragon! You’re so right, they should have that.

They do sound good. Cannot remember if real mistletoe has a fragrance or not.

I don’t think it does. It grows on some of the trees around here, particularly hackberries, and sometimes after a storm I will find a clump of it in my yard that the wind has knocked down. I have never noticed it to have a scent, other than the “green” scent that most plants have. Granted, there are a number of species, so there may be some that are scented.

I remember back in the 80’s I had a bottle of Mistletoe by Jovan – I really remember loving that. Burberry Brit Gold seems to conjure up my scent memory of that Mistletoe fragrance (in a good way).

Oh, I don’t remember that one! Good name for a perfume.

I bought tiny roll-ons of Snow and Christmas Bouguet for $4.99 at
Rite-Aid. They had a third scent which I didn’t buy in the display, maybe it was Mistletoe.

I saw some Demeters there the other day – it was odd, but fun. I didn’t get any, though.

I totally want to smell both of these, but there’s no way I’m going to get my hands on these before Xmas and getting them afterwards will feel sort of anticlimactic.
