Lorenzo Villoresi Theseus ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 5 December 2011 12 Comments

Lorenzo Villoresi Theseus

Lorenzo Villoresi has launched Theseus, a new scent in his Fantasy Fragrances series:

A fresh, radiant, sunny fragrance, evocative of ancient adventures over strange countries and seas, in the search for mythological lands.

An elegant fragrance, noble and timeless, deep and velvety, full of rare, intense and precious scents. Citrus fruit, herbs, spices and mysterious resins. The seductive aroma of ancient wood and flowers, overflowing with delicate fragrances.

The notes include citrus, green notes, bergamot, black pepper, clary sage, nutmeg, flowers, iris, jasmine, precious woods, patchouli, vetiver, cistus, leather, agarwood, amber, musk and tonka bean.

Lorenzo Villoresi Theseus is available now in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette (€70  / €98).

I don’t know about the fragrance, but I am tired of polygon bottles with tops that look like bolts.

He’s been using that bottle for years, so doubt he’ll change it now.

My comment is not particular to this perfumer; just my free-floating issues with this bottle design. I have some joint issues and bottles like this prevent me from getting to the juice as efficiently as the press & turns keep kiddies out of the advil.

The notes sound very nice. I’m not a fan of any of his other ‘fumes. Would be nice to sample one. I see that Luscious Cargo carries home fragrances. Is there any US distributor for the ‘fume?

I believe LafCoNY is the US distributor.

None of my friends seem to care that a umm, I am a perfume junkie-niche and mainstream. I need to make some new friends. Just wanted someone in the world to know, besides my four year old, that I am wearing SANTA MARIA NOVELLO’s ZAGARA. And I smell GOOD! Here’s to all the perfume junkies! Cheers and keep posting. I read this blog before any other email. And I save them. I have learned so much in such a little time. Thanks Robin for opening up a true joy to me. My husband thinks they,” all smell the same.”
Is he nuts, yes, he needs medication. We are in marriage counseling because of my new hobby. The counselor thinks I’m super and that he needs Lithium. So CHEERS AGAIN! Maybe for my birthday he will get me Chantacaile’s Kalamantan. I would gasp. I spelled it out for him in a detailed email. I am loving Serge, L’Artisan, and Diptyque+ I Profumi de Firenze. I love the bottles they are hand written on. Have to leave that preposition hanging in the air late for school. I homeschool and everyone is waiting on me. Ciao

Counsellors are supposed to be impartial – so I think someone is enjoying your scent, LOL!

And your 4 year old is going to grow up a conneseur (sorry – I never learned how to spell.)

LOL…most people think perfumistas are nuts, that’s what is so wonderful about the internet — you can meet up with all the other nuts :-)
