L’Occitane Immortelle de Corse ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 7 October 2011 17 Comments

L'Occitane Immortelle de Corse

L’Occitane has launched Immortelle de Corse, a new addition to the Voyage en Méditerranée range.

The Immortelle Eau de Parfum is a vibrant tribute to Immortelle flowers, the golden suns that light up the Corsican landscape. Perfect for an aromatic Mediterranean voyage at any time of the year!

The notes feature immortelle, rose, black tea, benzoin, iris and musk.

L'Occitane Immortelle de Corse is available in 75 ml Eau de Parfum, $68.

Though, if it were truly called Immortelle de Corpse I’d have to buy it unsniffed for the name alone. But then it’d need to smell like Avignon or something similar.

I always associate immortelle with French funerals — surprised Occitane’s home customer based isn’t creeped out.

I read it as corpse too.

I’ll have to look for this. I really like Labdanum de Seville which is part of this line (and in the same bottle). I generally like immortelle.
Is benzoin becoming the new oud or pink pepper? It seems that it is being prominently featured this season. Maybe I’m just imagining things because I keep reading about the “overdose” of benzoin in Candy.

I don’t know…not sure I pay enough attention to tell. Seems like it’s always been popular, but maybe it’s being used more.

Hi Robin. I bought this a few weeks ago. On me, it is a very, very sweet honey and amber, very similar to their older honey perfume. It lasts through showers, for days. It’s a soft scent, and for being such a soft scent, it’s lasting power is truly incredible. I’m not too big a fan of honey scents, but for those of us who are, it’s certainly one to try.

I’m one of those honey fans, so thanks for the heads up! I’ll have to get out and try this.

MelissaJane, this honey (and amber!) fan thanks you for your comment. I’ll definitely have to sniff this one.

The Corsican landscape has more than one sun? Kind of like the planet Tatooine?

I like L’Occitane’s products, though their scents have been hit and miss with me. I’ll have to try this one and hope for the former!
