Technique Indiscrète is the niche line of Louison Grajcar, who trained as a perfumer at Cinquième Sens. The line currently has seven Eaux de Parfum (listed below), three Eaux de Cologne and six floral waters; in addition, there are scented candles and teas.
Indiscrète ~ "Louison’s first composition upon graduating from Cinquième Sens. This fragrance is about a beautiful Spring day outdoors, scents emanating from the garden, linen drying outside, an apple tart cooling off on the table. The sweet, fruity and gourmet notes of the fruits from the orchard and mandarin mixed with the flowery touches of rose, jasmine and tuberose on a vanilla, soft wood and white musk base."
Veloutine ~ "This fragrance is an homage to writer Barbara Cartland. Upon watching a documentary of her on the BBC1 Louison was inspired by her eccentricity and tongue in cheek sense of humor. Asked what her fetishes were she responded “young boys and leather” and when asked what fragrance she wore she mentioned Violet from Toulouse……and from there this fragrance was born a perfect harmony of leather and musk, as well as violet and rose."
Paname Paname ~ "Inspired by strong women from the twenties and thirties who were ahead of their times. A combination of Bergamot, Cumin, Jasmine, Apple Cake and a lingering note of Moss, White Musk, Vetiver and Amber."
Plaisir D’Amour ~ "Think of Belle de Jour, not only the iconic movie but also the images it conjures up: a classic Parisian woman, a bit uptight on the outside but naughty on the inside. That is what inspired this fragrance. This is a sensual, floral eau de parfum. The perfumer's creation is based on the intense aromas of jasmine, rose and blue lilly of the valley. The finished product is harmonized by vetiver, patchouli, musk, oak moss and Cyprus accents."
Santa Subita (shown above) ~ "This fragrance was inspired by a visit to Church St. Catherine in Brussels where every December there is an exhibit of religious icons from all over the world. Upon visiting the exhibit Louison was struck from all the scents in the Church and came up with Santa Subita. Woody notes are mixed in with oriental notes and a finishing touch of Tree Moss, Vanilla and Musk."
Safran Nobile ~ "While attending a friend’s wedding Louison was particularly moved by the overwhelming scent of saffron emanating from the food. His friend’s wedding was in the pure tradition of Indian weddings but a bit more over the top, with a strong bollywood flavor. An elegant blend of Lemon, Orange, Anise, Cardamom, Saffron, Vanilla and Patchouli."
Delivre Moi ~ "This scent was triggered by a small incident in Louison’s garden in Brussels. They keep two beehives in the garden and one of them seemed to not be functioning properly. Upon opening it he noticed that the queen bee was stuck in the beehive and delivered her, hence the name of the fragrance which means “Deliver Me” in French. The composition of the perfume was inspired by the scents emanating from the beehive when it was opened: the insects, the honey, the wax, the woods surrounding it. Notes of honey and almond are mixed in with Geranium, Anise, Eucalyptus, Jasmine and Cypress."
The Eau de Parfum line can be found at the Technique Indiscrète website, 65€ each, size unknown.
