Harajuku Lovers Jingle G ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 1 August 2011 21 Comments

Harajuku Lovers Jingle G

Gwen Stefani's Harajuku Lovers line will launch Jingle G, a new holiday-themed (there will be a ribbon so you can hang it from a tree) limited edition fragrance for women, in September. Jingle G follows recent limited edition fragrances G of the Sea and Super G.

The notes feature tangerine, orange blossom, and vanilla.

Harajuku Lovers Jingle G will be available in 10 ml Eau de Toilette.

I am having a really hard time not buying Super G and/or G of the Sea. This one is a little easier for me to resist, but it’s darned cute.

none of the notes remind me of ‘christmas’ (well, vanilla does…)

the most Christmas-y fragrance i know and own is Ambre Narguile lol.

It’s a pretty short list though, so is no doubt not complete. That said, will not be surprised if the juice is unrelated to the bottle :-)

I read this and immediately thought to myself, “Oh, my god, Gwen Stefani, why do you keep doing this to me?” I haven’t even bought Super G yet, even though I intend to, and she’s already throwing a Christmas-themed G at me? Meanwhile, I’m still kicking around the idea of whether or not I want to buy one of the Tokidoki rollerballs or the Hello Kitty graffiti limited edition. Fatal attraction to cute, indeed.

Super G is available now from Sephora in US and Boots in UK. I don’t have high expectations for the juice but I’ll be buying it anyway. Sorry I missed your comment earlier.

I think these are really adorable, all of them. I had one lovely customer end up buying one of every single Harijuku Lover fragrance we had, to give to his little sister one at a time (for her birthday, for Christmas, for when she gets a good report card, etc.). I was pleasantly surprised by G of the Sea – it literally evoked the sea for me, and wasn’t as syrup-y sweet as I was expecting. Haven’t come across Super G yet. Hope we get this one in for Christmas – looks like a sure-fire big-seller.

How long does it generally take for perfumes to become available in Australia after an OS launch or does vary quite a lot? I’m starting to think about Xmas now and this Jingle G is growing on me!

It depends on the company, and the popularity of the fragrance O/S. Also, of course, because I live in a more regional area, we don’t get the fragrances as quickly as the major cities. Often, especially with celebrity fragrances, David Jones and/or Myer have the buying power to purchase exclusive rights to the fragrance for a period of time (6 months +), so that can delay things as well. I’m anticipating we’ll get this one November sometime (in time for Christmas rush), but you never really know. I had a customer demanding the Oh Lola! the other day, which has been available in the U.S. for quite a while and (I believe) has been advertised a little in Australia, but not a whisper of when we’ll be actually getting it.

I’m always surprised to walk into Myer or Perfume Connection and find something new on the shelves I’ve been wanting to try without knowing it’s finally arrived. It would be nice to know when new fragrances have arrived so I could rush in to try but then surprises are nice as well I guess. Thank you!

Bahahaha, from your keyboard to God’s ears – even we don’t really know what fragrances are coming when, until we open a box of stock. It’s like Christmas every time the courier shows up :) (Though my company is improving a little on that front – we now sometimes get advance notice of “major” releases – e.g., “Daisy Eau So Fresh will arrive on this date” – if there is a promotion associated with it)

Gah!!! Ohstella summed it up for me, too. Why??? I recently bought G of the Sea and was so pleasantly surprised by the perfume I bought a big tester bottle on ebay so I could spray it with Abandon.

Citrus smells remind me of Christmas as much or more than vanilla – navel oranges are in high season then!

Oh no, I’m probably going to buy it.
I had to buy Super G last week because the bottle was too cute to ignore and G Of The Sea is calling to me too…

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by a few of these but the bottle are ridiculously small! My kids bought me one for my birthday and they were like…’uh…why’s it so small?’ and a bit sad when it came out of the box, as the testers are huge. I did like it, though it’d be gone after about 6 wears so I have barely used it. Which is perhaps dumb. Does anyone else do this?

This is lovely! quite food-y but agree and wish the bottles were bigger!
