Carolina Herrera has launched 212 VIP Men, the masculine counterpart to last year's 212 VIP:
212 VIP MEN is a masculine fragrance that completes the 212 VIP universe and represents the style and attitude of VIP men in New York.
The 212 VIP man: charismatic, fun, elegant, sophisticated, desired and envied.
DON'T JUST GO TO THE PARTY. BE THE PARTY.
212 VIP Men was developed by perfumers Emilie Coppermann and David Apel; notes for the woody oriental include vodka, passion fruit, ginger, black pepper, frozen mint, lime caviar, spices, leather, amber and king wood.
Carolina Herrera 212 VIP Men is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (quote via theperfumeshop, additional information via podiumediciones.es)
Hey Robin!
Any idea when the fragrace is coming out?
The official launch is September, but I think you can buy it now at The Perfume Shop (link in article) in the UK.
Emilie did a marvelous job for CH Men, I’m sure this one will be as good!
One can hope 🙂
Any chance “completes the 212 VIP universe” means “we’ll do a scent that’s not a 212 next?”
I was very surprised for a moment, then I realized they just meant the 212 VIP universe, not the 212 universe, which is, I would guess, far from complete 😉
Those notes sound odd and kinda all over the place. My prediction is its either going to be unique, in a god awful way, or its going to somehow blend into a smell-a-like for D&G The One.
hmmm. could smell nice, especially since i was looking for something deliciously fruity for men anyways.
i quite like the female counterpart, even if it was a slightly bland, yet warm and sweet vanilla fragrance. it was ‘comfortable’. and as tacky as the golden, phallic bottle was, i prefer that one to this one.
usually these 212s are very very light…
I mean even the “sexy” duo was see-through.
So colour me incredulous when I hear “woody oriental” from a 212 flanker.
The only one I REALLY liked from CH, besides the original men (wich didn´t work on my skin, but still smelled great on others) was the limited edition named “refreshing ginger”…. if i recall correctly…
as you say.. one can hope!
I never understood why CH’s perfumes are so underapreciated at USA and Europe. They’re well done, smell good and the masculine line is potent and has good sillage. The feminines are lighter, but are also as good as masculines. If somemeone can explain me, please…
Smelled it yesterday in Debenhams. Such a disappointment, another One Million clone.. I just hope that this new trend of “men smell over candified” will eventually fade away, hopefully.
Pefumers, reinvent the classics. It would be more interesting.
