Antonio Banderas has launched The Golden Secret, a new fragrance for men and a flanker to last year's The Secret.
The Golden Secret was developed by perfumer Christophe Raynaud, who also developed The Secret. The notes include green apple liqueur, pepper, cumin, nutmeg, cedar, amber and leather.
Antonio Banderas The Golden Secret is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (via podiumediciones.es)
Dear Lord. The packaging looks kind of nice, but I absolutely do not want my man to smell like green apple liqueur. Not sure how green apple would pair with leather, either.
I’d rather have my green apple with leather than without, but that’s as far as I’ll go 😉
Has anyone tried any Banderas scents? I always note that the tv ads prominently mention they’re available at Walgreen’s… 🙁
I have not. My local Walgreens generally has 1 or 2 testers out, that’s it!
Several years back I was drawn to one of his scents (the first?) thanks to a magazine strip. Sadly, it did not satisfy in person!
I have Spirit for women which is really nice. The opening is a bit sweet but it has lovely floral notes. I also enjoy watching his commercials so I’ll check out the one Robin has posted below.
Haven’t tried the scents but I always look forward to the commercials with Antonio, he is delicious 🙂
Doubt they’ll do one for this since it’s a flanker, but I did like the one for Secret:

I wish the name didn’t remind me of “golden shower.” (Blame Ricky Martin.)
i also thought the same thing. DIdnt know Ricky Martin told the world he likes golden showers… that is definitely an over-share
Much better to give your man “golden secrets”!
It’s just a cheaper version of Paco Rabbane One Million, Puig owns both brands and they
do it very often: cheaper versions of his own “prestige” fragances
Thanks for clearing this up. My first thought was that this smacks of the One Million bottle and, like eminere said below, also Tom Ford’s.
*their not his!
I like the bottle too, although it looks a lot like the Tom Fords.
If I see it I’m going to try it just to see how that green apple liqueur note works.
The bottle is very Tom Ford-ish.
