Smell Bent The Pink Party ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 8 June 2011 12 Comments

Smell Bent The Pink Party

Indie niche line Smell Bent has launched The Pink Party, a new fragrance in support of Elyse Walker's Pink Party:

when Elyse Walker asked us to create a perfume for her annual Pink Party, we were ecstatic! not only is she one of the chicest women in town, she’s also one of the most generous. over the last 6 years, her work has helped raise over 5.5 million dollars for the Cedars-Sinai Women's Cancer Program at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute.

here’s your chance to get in on the party and help a fabulous cause along the way. the pink party is a blend of playful pink grapefruit with sugar cane, lemon drops, effervescent orange and candied musk, and is presented in a special 15ml roll-on.

all proceeds from the sale of this fragrance will benefit those affected by gynecologic, breast and other women's cancers.

Smell Bent The Pink Party is $55 for 15 ml. (via newsletter from smell bent)

I think so, too. I might join the party!

Ugh. Those notes just sound horrible to me- either vomity-grapefruit or too tooty-fruity.

Sounds fun to me, but of course it’s always hard to tell without trying.

Sometimes I like sweet, but not combined with woods. I like my woodsy perfumes dry. But I like fruity sweet. Does anyone else feel that way?

Oops, that was supposed to be a reply to Kate Read’s comment.

    I do like the sweet-and-sour grapefruit vibe…

Sounds like a SweetTart! I will probably go for this – I actually own more Smell Bents than Guerlains (9 to 8). It sounds like a fun summer thang.

Ooh I actually have tried this, and it’s a nice kind of grapefruit, a realistic pink grapefruit, my only sadness is the fast dissipation of citrus off my skin so it’s shortlived, and what’s left is a sugary vanilla. It reminds me a lot of Cougar Potion from Love Potion Perfumes actually, which is fine since I like that also. I’d just reapply often to keep the grapefruit there-Tama-it is a nice summer perfume :)
