La Prairie Life Threads Sheer Gold, Sheer Ruby ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 10 May 2011 3 Comments

La Prairie Life Threads Gold Sheer

La Prairie has launched lighter versions of two of the fragrances in their Life Threads collection. Sheer Gold and Sheer Ruby are presented as delicate alternatives for warm weather.

Life Threads Sheer Gold (shown) ~ "Discover the lighter version of Life Threads Gold. Opening with sweet, fruity top notes, including tangerine and Chinese plum, this complex scent captivates with a floral bouquet spiced up with pepper, coriander and cinnamon, before revealing its exotic soul, redolent with mythic patchouli, myrrh and imperial incense."

Life Threads Sheer Ruby ~ "Discover the lighter version of Life Threads Ruby. A vibrant, sensual bouquet unfolds to reveal a pulsating heart lavished with ylang ylang, red rose and jasmine, leaving in its wake a tantalizing scent of sandalwood, vetiver, musk and vanilla."

La Prairie Life Threads Sheer Gold & Sheer Ruby are available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette. (quotes via laprairie, additional information via cosmoty.de)

I never tried the regular Ruby, but I did sample the original Gold, and a sheer version sounds like a great idea. Sheer versions of most scents, indeed, would be my kind of thing!… : – )

I did not love these, admittedly, and never did try Ruby I don’t think. But La Prairie seems to tend towards heavy scents, so sheer does seem like a good thing.

No interest in the juice, but LOVE the bottles. Still not going to buy any. Have too many others on my list.
