Costume National Pop Collection ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 19 April 2011 17 Comments

Costume National Pop Collection

Costume National has launched Pop Collection, a new fragrance for women:

Sparkling notes of Pink Grapefruit and bittersweet Raspberry Pulp mingle with Blackcurrant Absolute to make a joyful and energizing start. A floral heart of Rose and Jasmin makes the scene with grace and charme [sic] and discloses a strong, extremely feminine character. Patchouli Heart, Ambre Gris and Cashmeran wrap the bouquet with warmth, mistery [sic] and depth, revealing a sensual intensity.

The result? A timeless, minimal and refined fragrance, where sophistication and simplicity, peculiarity and intimacy strike a perfect balance. Every kind of woman can play it and wear it: it’s pop and chic!

Pop Collection was developed by perfumer Dominique Ropion.

Costume National Pop Collection is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum, and comes in the 4 colors as shown above. (via Costume National at Facebook, hat tip to Jacob!)

So that is one Rose-Jasmine,berry-grapefruit scent, right, and
Not, four variations each in a different color bottle?

Correct — one scent, four colors. Apparently you have to open the box to see which color is in it, they’re not marked (I think they want it to be a surprise).

    Hmmm. Ropion. Pretty colors.

    I *think* I’m curious.

I’m also going to say: Would it be so difficult to find a proficient English speaker to spend 3 minutes reading over your press release (for your relatively pricey product) before you blast it to the world? :D

Well, they obviously hired someone — we know online translators don’t make these kinds of spelling errors! They just hired the wrong person. But as I can attest, editors are hard to come by ;-)

hmmm, particularly uninterested….guess I’m neither pop or chic.
But maybe my insouciance is because I’ve not found anything yet in this line that rates above a solid “meh” .

I really love 21, although I’ve never bought it. This sounds more like “standard” fare, although who knows.

hmm…I split some Costume National 21 not too long ago…seems I still have an unclaimed decant — you want it? It’s just lingering in the drawer…

Perhaps, or maybe, the writer (author) of the fragrant copy, (virtually perfumed text,) is a native born speaker of English, (one with a mother tongue of the language of Shelly and Shakespeare), who fervently believes the more clauses and adjectivenel, the better, the more magnificent!

At least, the copy writer avoided “young” and “fresh.”

They won’t let you pick the color you want? That would kill it for me, even if I wanted the fragrance.

They should make that blue one the rare one. One should be rare. I’m kind of kidding but that’s what I’d do :)

Or maybe it’s like Green M&M’s and it has special powers? *hint, hint* ;)

My first thought was that the company has got an abundance of 100 ml Scent bottles they need to get rid of….
    Actually I love Scent Intense….
