Nice to see a “real man” on the ad, and not the typical post-pubescent bunch hehehehe

Robin, he’s actually a singer too, you should check him out at youtube.
Even though I don’t even understand half the lyrics he’s singing,
        I became a fan.
This man can melts my heart whispering sweet nothing to my ears.

At first I was all ‘1881 Fairplay’???? But then I saw they have a lot of ‘1881’ fragrances. Once you’ve done all the colors I guess you either move to seasons or something more ridiculous.

Actually I think I may have it wrong…the brand might be “Cerruti 1881” and the fragrance “Fairplay”….this is a brand I don’t know much about.

Actually Cerruti Fair Play is not a new fragrance. It was popular in the 80s in Europe but probably did not not become global and certainly did not succeed in the US.
From the notes you listed Robin, it seems that the original formulation has been slightly modified to better appeal to nowadays customer and renamed Cerruti 1881 Fair Play.
The bottle has also been redesigned. It used to be more plain and flat in transparent non-frosted glass. Now it appears to be more coherent with the rest of the Cerruti fragrances such as Cerruti 1881.
It would be nice to have a new fragrance that is not totally aquatic and that is reminscent of the 70s and 80s masculine fragrances without the terrible Fougere notes.
I would love to sample it.
    Eric
