Jill Stuart has launched Night Jewel Summer Bloom (shown above right), a new limited edition flanker to 2009's Night Jewel.

Fleeting and sweet, like a dream on a summer night.

A fragrant jewel that conceals scintillating magic.

The notes include citrus, Queen of the Night and Beauty of the Night.

Jill Stuart Night Jewel Summer Bloom is available in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Toilette. (via hk.jillstuart-beauty, elle.com.hk)

Neither of these sounds very promising from the notes: – What is Queen of the Night and Beauty of the Night? what is trendy sparkling?

The JSNJSB (a mouthful) looks like a pretty bottle. However, as as brand, pretty is not a word I would ever use to describe Jill Sander products.

Actually this is Jill Stuart, not Jil Sander. Jil Sander’s clothing line definitely has an off-kilter minimalist aspect to it but I love pretty much everything in her fragrance line. I just spritzed No.4 on me yesterday at our new Ulta and was pleasantly surprised to find it nearly unchanged from the 80s version.

I had to go Google Jill Stuart because I really couldn’t remember her fashion. She has some cute dresses and tops with images of foxes, owls and other animals on them that I’m surprised I quite like.
Still wasn’t able to find out what Queen of the Night and Beauty of the Night were from her sight, but to me they sound like a type of rose.

No problem. Easy to get confused.

Sorry I’m late…I know nothing about Jill Stuart or if she even does fashion. I do know her beauty line is now mostly distributed in Asia…it used to be easier to find it here.

    Queen of the Night:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cestrum_nocturnum
    Beauty of the Night:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirabilis_jalapa

Though honestly I would be happier if they were fragrances based on Mozart’s Magic flute character and the Rene Clair movie.

Maybe it’s the black tulip “Queen of the Night?”

I love the Jill Stuart bottle, but are they kidding about the price? $540 for 50ml and $380 for 30 ml eau de toilette? I am not cheap, but that seems pricey.

Oops! Apparently these are HK dollars. Does anyone knows how that compares to US dollars? Sorry for overreacting.

hey, if that were US dollars you would have been under-reacting!

‘Night jewel’ is a really nice name; in fact the ‘summer bloom’ appendage is not THAT bad as far as flanker names go either.
But any perfume described as fleeting has me, in my thirsty skin running for the mountains!

That’d be $69.48 for the 50ml and $48.89 for the 30ml according to Google. =)

Thanks. I even have a currency converter bookmarked, but did I use it? No.
