La Perla Divina ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 29 March 2011 15 Comments

La Perla Divina

Italian lingerie brand La Perla has launched Divina, a new sparkling fruity floral perfume for women. Divina is 'modern but divinely sensual' and 'reflects the charm of a lush Italian garden'.

The notes feature mandarin, wild strawberries, champagne, rose, jasmine, orange blossom, musk, amber and vanilla.

La Perla Divina is available in 30, 50 and 80 ml Eau de Toilette. (quotes loosely translated from sfilate.it, achat-parfums.fr)

This could be charming if those “champagne” notes aren’t just marketing copy and really are “sparkling”.
I love YSL Yvresse , so I’m a sucker for anything champagne related, plus it’s nice that this comes in a 30ml size – might work for summer when I actually DO want to wear fruity florals.

Sparkle is not that hard to come by in fragrance, so I’m going to assume they’ve added some!

I’d love to ‘reflect the charm of a lush Italian garden”, but wild strawberries are not usually my cup of tea……

I loved eating wild strawberries when I was a child, but haven’t even seen any since then. I have a taste memory, and am trying to conjure up a memory of their scent. . .

I thought wild strawberries were poisonous.

*sigh* Why can’t they just bring back Eclix? That was a truly classy gourmand.

      Agree, it was great stuff.

Agreed. Eclix is one of those perfect summer scents. It’s like wearing the ghost of key lime pie with a dusting of cocoa on top or the perfume eequivalent of lime cream puffs. I love it and would buy more of it in a heartbeat if it ever comes back.

This sounds pretty. I love strawberry as a note and wouldn’t be opposed to picking up 30ml if it isn’t too pricy. I wonder if it wears a bit like Miss Dior Cherie? At least the soon to be phased out version of MDC.

Miss Dior Cherie is being reformulated? When, what, why, how?
Sorry, I really like that one and hadn’t heard.

I hadn’t heard that either, and I quite like it as well! Do you know when they’re phasing it out?

I have heard this as well, but have not looked into it. Here is one answer maybe:

Not trying to be mean….but I’ll probably make it over to the site to purchase undergarments. I definitely will not be looking for this scent.

Oh look, it’s pink! That’s novel!

    (I know, snarky!)

Oh snark away! I agree. Anyway, if it’s Italian gardens I want, I have Un Jardin en Medtirranee. Not a pink note in sight.
