Crabtree & Evelyn Floral Fragrance Collection ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 11 March 2011 17 Comments

Crabtree & Evelyn Floral Fragrance Collection

Crabtree & Evelyn has launched the Floral Fragrance Collection, including last year's Iris perfume plus 3 newly reworked soliflores, Lily, Rosewater and Lavender.

A modern interpretation of our classic, single-note scents that bring to life the timeless elegance, beauty and romance of a garden in full bloom.

Lily ~ "Heralding the arrival of spring with its delicate bell-shaped flowers, lily of the valley is a beloved woodland wonder. Our eau de toilette features a perfect single accord of lily of the valley blended with dewy greens, velvety woodland mosses, musk, and hints of hyacinth and ylang ylang."

Rosewater ~ "The romantic and enchanting fragrance of Rosa centifolia, the hundred-petal rose, has inspired perfumers throughout the centuries. Our eau de toilette pays homage to this captivating ingredient with an enticing blend of rosewater surrounded with notes of violet, peony, fresh green foliage, and musk accords."

Lavender ~ "The uplifting fragrance of lavender calls to mind gentle breezes rolling over lush fields on an idyllic summer day. Our eau de toilette features fresh lavender bloom enhanced with violet leaf, jasmine, exotic tonka bean, soft musk, and a touch of lemon."

The Crabtree & Evelyn Floral Fragrance Collection scents are available in 30 or 100 ml Eau de Toilette, and in a wide range of bath, body and home fragrance products. (first quote via uppercanadamall, additional information via crabtree-evelyn, found via happi)

I got a bar of C&E’s rosewater glycerin soap in my Christmas stocking when I was about 12, and I remember thinking it was the most beautiful fragrance ever. I’m kind of tempted to try this and see how it compares to memory!

I loved their soaps & lotions when I was younger, but admit I have not tried them in ages & ages. Will have to see if there is a C&E store near me.

I used to love the C&E soaps. I went to grad school in San Antonio, and there was a C&E store in one of the malls there. That was my one luxury in those impecunious days. I buy a lot of other brands now, but I still cannot bear to use “supermarket” soap.

I have and love the iris — and now ooh, look at all the pretty little bottles! The lily of the valley sounds promising.

They’re darned cute, and the little travel bottles are even cuter.

These do sound lovely, and are reasonably priced to boot! A soliflore im matching bath products sounds nice as the weather warms. If it ever does…

I’m wary of LOTV. I used to wear Blue Grass in 5th grade but it started giving me headaches by 6th grade. I often like fragrances that have it worked into the notes (like my all time fave CSP Eau des Artes) but a soliflore makes me a bit wary. Actually these are reasonably priced that layering the LOTV with the Iris might be nice. Looks like I’ll be doing some fragrance experimenting on my shopping jaunts this weekend. 🙂

Well, my shopping trip was quite the bummer. My local C&E distributor didn’t have any of the newer ones in. But I did purchase a bottle of the Iris room spray. I needed something to blend with overwhelming patchouli and tonka bean of my biel eo01 spill in my bedroom. Very nice. Spicier than I expected, at first – maybe a carnation top note? But still soft, powdery and refreshing. A nice soothing scent that helped send me off to sleep last night.

A little side note: both at the local little mom&pop toilletries shop and at the mall dept stores, I talked to the employees and ended up educating them about what products would be coming their way soon. This is always the case. Sometimes I find it funny but most of the time I just find it sad and discouraging.

Aw, sorry you didn’t find them! I checked, no C&E near me.

I still have a C & E Rosewater Eau Fraiche that they used to or still maybe do make. It was really enjoyable – a nice fresh rose with a dash of soapy aldehydes to spray all over. It was nice and light for summer. I would like to smell these too, esp. the iris that I never got to last year.

I wish the C&E store near me had not closed when they filed for bankruptcy, I’d love to try these in person instead of ordering unsniffed.

I love Evelyn Rose and wear it frequently year-round. I also loved their Lily of the Valley before it was discontinued, and I am so glad to see it here!

Was truly looking forward to trying C&E and not living anywhere near any of their retail store went and ordered it online. I was confident that Crabtree and Evelyn would always produce a lovely Lavender like they have had in the past. Sorry to say I am not that pleased. C&E new Lavender comes off way to piney and reminds me too much of a less expensive version I tried before. The classic lavender was far more pleasant, the only thing was that it lacked staying power as does the new one. I expected allot more from Crabtree & Evelyn
