Parfumerie Generale Praline de Santal & Tonkamande perfumes

Parfumerie Generale has launched two new limited edition fragrances, Praliné de Santal and Tonkamande:

Praliné de Santal ~ a powdery-woody gourmand with sandalwood, heliotrope, hazelnut, Virginian cedar and cashmeran.

Tonkamande ~ a milky - balsamic aldehydic, with almond milk, aldehydes, tonka bean, wheat, sandalwood, vanilla and amber.

Parfumerie Generale Praliné de Santal and Tonkamande are available in 50 and 100 ml, concentration unknown. (via parfumerie-generale, facebook.com/pages/Parfumerie-Generale/52504741500)

    What is cashmeran?

Both of these sound yummy/cozy and worth a try – but it’s a bit late in the year for gourmand scents, is it not? I’m already in a floral mode, February notwithstanding.

      What Maggiecat said.

Fine with me, I will get around to sampling them just in time for the Fall season of 2011. By this time people will have samples to swap ;) right now I am trying other things and yes, firmly in the flowers mood already.

Agree w/ Warum…by the time I find them and try them, it will probably be time for cold weather scents again :-)

Yes, they do sound good. However, they are “limited”, so they may not be around by the Fall or next Winter. I’m always reluctant with “limited” because I’m afraid I will love it and then it will be taken off the market. I always wonder about these “limited editions”. Are they really limited, or is it a ploy do get people to buy them NOW because that may be their only chance. Or perhaps in the case of Parfums Generale, they made them to be a seque’ fragrance taking us from late Winter into early Spring.

I love PG’s fragrances. I just ordered a bottle of Coze last night so definitely in the mood for a gourmand scent although these sound like they are going to both lean feminine.

I can’t do prominant almond/heliotrope which is in both of these and – unfortunately for me -really popular at the moment. I look forward to a review in case it’s not too noticeable. They sound pretty similar from the notes. I wonder if these will qualify as “wood puddings”?

Thought it was “Tonkaman” for a second. Had no idea what his superpower would be, but was sure he’d smell good!

Both of these sound fantastic — I wonder when Scent Bar will be getting them…(not that I need anything else, I guess that goes without saying for all of us!)

    Tonkamande (Tonkaman) sounds delish.

These both sound good. I’m still lovin’ gourmand, incense, spice. Like wearing velvet–all perfectly fine until Easter!

Gourmands are what PG does so well! I bet these are going to be wonderful.
