Judith Leiber Night ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 25 January 2011 15 Comments

Judith Leiber Night

Judith Leiber will launch Judith Leiber Night, a new fragrance for women. Judith Leiber Night is the luxury evening bag brand's second fragrance, and their first under new licensing arrangements with Palm Beach Beauté:

Opulent, rich and oh-so special. A must-have. The new sensual fragrance for your ultimate evening. A glamorous scent that radiates from your true beauty. Notes of addictive oriental and sensual amber, along with black cinnamon, bergamot, night blooming jasmine, fragrant lilies and passion peonies. Underlying notes of caramelized amber, creamy woods, incense and Kiss of patchouli.

The bottle design was inspired by the Streamline evening bag.

Judith Leiber Night will be available in 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum ($140 / $198). (quote via palmbeachbeaute, additional information via wwd)

Update: Judith Leiber Night was developed by perfumer Richard Herpin, and is an oriental amber perfume. (via cosmeticworld)

Sounds potentially interesting, potentially a big heady mess. I wonder what the cinnamon play will be like. Prices aren’t exactly mouthwatering. Does anyone have any idea what the distribution will be like?

It’s starting out at Bergdorfs, & might already be there (although it’s not online) and also at Judith Leiber boutiques & website. Wider distribution in the spring.

For some reason that bottle just looks massive. Like if you dropped it, you might lose a pinky toe.

Hey, maybe you could use it as a paper weight.
As far as the notes, it started out interesting for me, but I get a little nervous when I saw the carmelization coming into it. i don’t care for overly sweet fragrances. Has she done anything else?

Yes, it’s her 2nd. I think the first one is gone now though.

That bottle looks like someone loves rhinestones and rubix cube but could never admit it . . . until now.

Sounded interesting until I got to the dreaded lilies. Money saved!

Given my love for orientals, I would definitely give this a try. Though I’d hope not to fall in love considering the price. The original gets pretty decent reviews on MUA and I’d still like to try it since it supposedly has lots of pineapple and rose as dominant notes, which happen to be notes I love. I’m sure this one will eventually hit the discounters, so I can wait to try it then.

If it comes my way I will definitely give it a sniff! All sounds a little too much thought. It could just be the script!
