Bruno Banani Made for Women ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 13 January 2011 14 Comments

Bruno Banani Made for Women

Bruno Banani will launch Made for Women in February. The new fruity floral fragrance is the feminine counterpart to 2009's Made for Men and is meant to "awaken the hunting instinct in every woman".

The notes include blackberry, green tea, peach and red fruit, iris, violet, solar accord, aquatic accord, raspberry and amber.

Bruno Banani Made for Women will be available in 20 and 40 ml Eau de Toilette, or in 40 or 60 ml Eau de Parfum.

This ad copy made me laugh. In my very midwestern extended family, all it takes to bring out the hunting instinct in women is the men all but patting them on the head while telling them all their chattering etc. will scare away the deer. I’ll never forget when my tiny aunt (maybe 115 pounds soaking wet) bagged the biggest buck of everyone out in the woods we knew who’d gone hunting that year.

I don’t recall reading the description for the mens’ fragrance, but just invision a neon orange bottle in casual repose upon a tree stand. And if it smells like my cousins after they came back from the hunt, I’ll pass.

In my case the apple fell far from the tree and the only hunting I do usually involves good sales at Sephora or the ‘watch this item’ link on Evilbay before the last minute snipe… Pounce. I mean pounce. 😉

My guess is that Bruno Banani women don’t do that kind of hunting 😉

So much fruit for the instinctual hunting instinct in women? Perhaps he should have named it Bruno Banani Banana.

What I like is that there’s everything: fruit, tea, sun, water.

Lol. I’d buy that just for the name and the look on someone’s face when they ask me what I’m wearing.

Maybe he just messed up, and meant the *gathering* instinct. Because of course, we were all out gathering nuts and berries and such while the menfolk were hunting… or something like that. Berries. (And yes, the name is MUCH too close to banana for comfort…)

Bruno Banani, to me, sounds like a porn star name. 😛
