Joop! Splash ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 14 December 2010 10 Comments

Joop! Splash

Joop! will launch Joop! Splash, a new fresh woody citrus fragrance for "young, sexy, urban" men, in February.

Joop! Splash was developed by perfumer Louise Turner; the notes include cassowary fruit, coriander, salty sea notes (calypsone), cardamom, cedar and labdanum.

Joop! Splash will be available in 75 and 115 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching grooming products. (via austria, moodiereport)

Gack. Another Joop!? Surely no one needs more given the incredible lasting power and sillage of the existing ones? Mind you, I have never come across anyone who wore a Joop lightly- there is a guy who works in my local Costco who wears the mens and as soon as you ‘ show your card, you know he is there!

I don’t get to try many scents by Joop, so can’t really comment!

Why does every men’s fragrance have to be for “young, sexy, urban men?” I’m waiting for a designer to license a fragrance for beat up old fat guys who live in Hicksville. Nitch marketing, folks…that’s the key to success in this economy!
