Posted by Robin on 4 December 2010 10 Comments

Aftelier Wildflowers solid perfume

Indie natural line Aftelier has launched three new fragrances. Honey Blossom and Memento are liquid perfumes; Wildflowers is a solid perfume.

Honey Blossom ~ "Beautiful honeyed floral, hypnotic with notes of honeysuckle. If there were a flower that smelled like honey, this would be it.
" Additional notes include mimosa, orange blossom, phenyl ethyl alcohol ambergris and benzoin. In 2 ml mini ($45) or 1/4 oz Parfum ($150).

Memento ~ "Warm winter spices featuring smoked cinnamon and antique clove built on a base on tonka beans and vanilla. The elegant floral heart features jasmine sambac and Turkish rose." Additional notes include bergamot, blood orange, nutmeg and choya. In 2 ml mini ($45) or 1/4 oz Parfum ($150).

Wildflowers ~ "Evokes the rolling hills of California -- The honeyed softness of sun-warmed sweet hay, dotted with wildflowers and a cool breeze of Mexican lime." 1/4 oz in sterling compact ($175, shown above).

Oh dear. I _need_ to try that Honey Blossom…
I didn’t have great luck with Pink Lotus, the only one I tried from her, but this description is absolutely irresistible to me!..

I didn’t do too well with Pink Lotus either, so maybe we are scent twins and this will work for you.

Gawd, could that silver compact be any more gorgeous? I love the simplicity of it, very chic.

It’s lovely. She has lots of cool vintage compacts too.

Honey Blossom is divine!! An instant sweep into a hot, dry field, where flowers are blooming and cicadas are buzzing. I think this is her linden-based creation in tandem with Andy Tauer, but I could be completely wrong – that is the impression I got, though. I am hoping to go to her Open Studio next weekend, which is making my wallet tremble.

Thanks for the impression, Tama! Now I want it even more :)

I bought the mini bottle of Honey Blossom and it is to DIE for. It is probably the best new scent I have tried/bought in a very long time. It is my new favorite.
