I thought Bakula was only that guy on Quantum Leap. Ya learn something new every day.

You’re right, and this must be his vampire-themed comeback. Very on-trend.

That was all I could think of as well. When this article showed up on my Twitter feed I immediately thought of Quantum Leap.

Sniffed this the other evening while buying some body butter for a friend on what would be my first venture into The Body Shop so I went around sniffing everything. Didn’t realize this was a new release as then didn’t seem to be promoting it at all.

Scent-wise, it was a sweet floral & very, very heavy on the patchouli.

Are TBS & B&BW linked? I’m asking b/c they both carry a Japanese Cherry Blossom fragrance that smells identical.

Thanks! Does not sound like something I’ll love.

Near as I can tell, they’re not — they’re just fishing in the same pond so to speak :-)

It wasn’t very appealing, though I’m sure there’s a market for it.

Yeah, I was looking at the site and they’re not affliates. Just odd b/c while I could understand both carrying a fragrance that smells like cherry blossoms — which these honestly do not smell like cherry blossoms — these might as well be the same fragrance. I could not tell them apart and many years ago I wore B&BW JCB.

k: Would you describe it as similar to Black Orchid in any way?

Maybe. Possibly a synthetic smelling Black Orchid. I dunno, I really just smelled something way too sweet & then overpowering patchouli. While I don’t wear it, Black Orchid’s not a bad scent, whereas this was just completely unappealing to me.

I work for The Body Shop and love this scent, I don’t smell anything sweet about it as you had mentioned so maybe the tester you smelled needs to be changed lol it is very earthy and I find that when wearing it, it is very light. I wear it every time I’m at work and I’m probably going to buy it for the autumn season since I feel it lends itself to that season very nicely.

The Body Shop is the original body butter and has been around for years, everything is naturally based and the company is very environmentally conscious. The company originated from England, I won’t go into the whole story but I’m sure you can find it online, its pretty interesting and inspiring. So no, TBS and B&BW are not linked, in fact, I’d say TBS is a more prestigious line since their products don’t simply smell nice (and not chemical-y) but have a lot of benefits for your skin. Hope that was somewhat helpful!

Another one here who immediately thought of Quantum Leap! Whatever happened to Scott Bakula anyway? Last I saw of him was in that Lord of Illusions film….I actually thought he was quite sexy!
I can’t imagine a BBW fragrance being particularly sexy though. :-)

Fragrant- See my post above re: Scott Bakula.
You know, with a few exceptions, most of the BS and B&BW stuff smells so similar to air fresheners to me.

I like some of the Body Shop scents but their perfumes have always gone all cloying on me. I can do some of the butters and bath things, though.

The biggest issue I have both with BBW and TBS isn’t that I can’t find anything I like there, but that the fragrances are few and far between, and it never fails that the ones I like most are always discontinued. I’ve been especially loathed to try anything from TBS after they gave their perfume oils and almond body care line the boot. Unfortunately, this does sound like something I’d like to smell as heady florals and patch are right up my alley.

The Almond line is back! The oils, sadly are not :( They do bring back older products some time so don’t give up hope!

How will we know if they bring back the oils that I love so much. The Sandalwood was my scent to wear and now they pulled it away from me. I keep watching the Body Shop to see if they come back. How will I know?? Please help me…

I wasn’t aware of the new fragrance when I stopped in The Body Shop. I walked in and smelled this wonderful fragrance and purchased the body butter and cologne. Every time I wear it I get a ton of compliments. I’ve had people stop me wanting to know what this fragrance was. I highly recommend it!
