Kenzo L’Eau de Kenzo Amour ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 18 November 2010 17 Comments

Kenzo L'Eau de Kenzo Amour

Kenzo will launch L'Eau de Kenzo Amour, a new limited edition fragrance, in January. The fresh floral musk scent is a variation on 2006's Kenzo Amour.

L'Eau de Kenzo Amour was developed by perfumer Olivier Cresp; the notes include bitter orange, bergamot, tea, ylang ylang, peony, frangipani, vanilla and white musk.

Kenzo L'Eau de Kenzo Amour will be available in 70 ml Eau de Toilette. (via parfums-tendance.fr, conseillere-de-beaute.fr)

Kenzo usually does a good job with their scents and flankers. I’ll try and get a sniff of this for sure.

They do. Admit I’m not after a fresher/lighter version, but I’ll give it a shot.

Me too. I always abide by the policy of everything deserves a sniff or two. Figuritively speaking, of course.

Sounds interesting- I know Amour gets quite a bit of love here and this reminds me that I really need to smell it. And then, sniff this!

Amour’s really been growing on me to the point where I’m contemplating a bottle. I’d really like to try this one as well.

It’s a great scent. And very flankered now.

I like Amour and so tend to like the brighter, fresher scents (initially and largely due to spousal sensitivity, but the preference has become more my own in recent years as well). i do want to try this – will have to save some money over the holidays!

I thought they did fresher/lighter last year, w/Amour Florale? I guess this is fresher/lighter/with MUSK, though. Wish they’d do spicier instead!

Fresh/light plus spicy is totally my perfume holy grail.

boo, I’m thinking maybe Indian Holi was spicier? I have a sample but seriously can’t remember… plus, that was Limited Edition, so…

No, that was spicy. Not spicier. ;) I did like the Indian Holi, but it didn’t quite get there for me. Then again, nothing from Kenzo has quite worked for me. Lots came close, but there’s always something that stops me from buying. Shame, bc I love the bottles…

I recently bought the Amour Parfum unsniffed with not so much as a split-second of regret. I sniff all the Kenzos, so I’ll definitely give this a go.

I brought home a sample of Kenzo Amour indian Holi the other day and when I put it on to try it out, the hubby loved it. I mean, seriously loved it – he went so far as to say it’s his favorite so far. My reaction was one of incredulity. Come on! I’ve been sampling some truly extraordinary fragrances – and THIS is the favorite so far?! That said, while certainly not my favorite, it was pretty and wearable and will probably buy the [cute] bottle since he likes it so much. ;-)

I like (not love) Flower and some of the flankers – Winter Flowers is lovely, but it doesn’t last very long on me – about an hour. I guess it must be time to sniff the Amours! I think that I was generally put off Kenzo for quite a while by Jungle. It was too powerful for me, which is saying something given that I love fragrances like Voleur de Roses and Safran Troublant, neither of which could be considered “quiet” scents.

I ALMOST started liking jungle elephant when i kept the phrase ‘bristling with good humour’ in mind while I smelled it. Luckily the language charm wore off before I bought a bottle!
I actually have difficulty smelling flower so either its very delicate and my sense of smell blunt (very possible) or I’m anosmic to something in it – all its aroma-chemicals!
I like amour…but honestly how are they going to really differentiate this from amour florale – in image, if not in smell.
