I’m not familiar with the line, but it sure sounds nice… and is priced for gift giving. 🙂

Mmmm. This sounds absolutely perfect for the holidays. Not that I needed any tempting to visit the site as it is. Ava Luxe is another of those sites where I just get overwhelmed with all the intriguing, beautiful samples and feel like a kid in the impulse candy section at the grocery store. Before I know it, I’ve got a ton of them in my cart and think I should reign myself in but can’t decide where to do so. 🙂 One of these days, I’m just going to have to splurge.

I know what you mean…and the samples do add up.

Ava Luxe scents are wonderful – I love many of them and wear them happily, especially in the colder months. They’re well worth their modest price! This one sounds lovely as well – but if I wear it to work will they think I had schnapps in my egg nog?

Ava Luxe did indeed do a Madeleine perfume, a Christmas limited edition in 2006. I happen to have some of this, so if I try this one (which is very likely – I am a huge fan of Ava Luxe!) I’ll let you know how similar they are!

I’d heard about this one and always wanted to try it. I hope that this is the same fragrance!

We’ll see! It sounds very similar, and of course in my head I think “Why wouldn’t she just do it the same way?” But there may be different ingredients available, etc. etc.

Thank you!!! I wasn’t sure, but suspected it might be a re-do.

I’ll find out – have already placed my pre-order.

I was just thinking last week that actually, as a representation of a madeleine, Tendre Madeleine (of which I now own a sample) is probably better. I will have to wear my 2006 Madeleine now and see what I think of it as a perfume, and then compare it to the new when it comes out.

Serena Ava Franco…the genius behind all the Ava Luxe fragrances is my “friend” on FaceBook. I’m sure if you sent her a friend request, she would accept your invitation. Then you can find out if the 2006 version is the same one. Also, she sends out advanced notices on new fragrances & discounts.

Oh yes, definitely a re-release. I own a bottle of the Madeline parfum and it is one of my very favorite from her line. It’s discontinuation had me rationing my bottle but now that I know it’s been re-released I can spritz easier

The notes from above, sound just like the previous ones.

The scent: It smells like smoky eggnog. Sort of like sitting by the fireplace, sipping eggnog while something with vanilla cooks in the kitchen. Perhaps the one scent (besides Aqua Allegoria Winter Delice and Fille en Aiguilles) that so strikingly conjures up memories of the holiday season!

How does one order samples? I don’t see them on the site….

Good question. People have sent them to me (and they appear to have some sort of offical labeling) and so I assume she makes them, but I don’t see them on the site either.

I can help with this one: Serena doesn’t sell samples, but when you buy something from her, she sends a couple of vials of things that might interest you with your order.

And like Mike Perez, I adore Madeline (Hi Mikey!) and find it delicious for the festive season. It’s a gourmand that has spices and creaminess and it feels very cozy and luxe. Plus the prices are like stocking filler level!
