Strange Invisible Perfumes Elektrou, il Profumo Cannabis, Ginger ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 21 October 2010 31 Comments

Strange Invisible Perfumes Elektrou fragrance

Strange Invisible Perfumes has launched Elektrou, a new limited edition perfume named for the ancient Greek word for amber. The scent is described as "the essence of fall", and the notes include amber, sandalwood and vanilla.

Strange Invisible Perfumes Elektrou is available in 1/4 oz Parfum. (via press release)

Italian niche line il Profumo has launched two new fragrances, Cannabis and Ginger.

Cannabis (shown) ~ "From this Osmo Parfum comes a real peak of pleasure: the skin is exalted with a sensual hint of amber that makes this particular alchemy even more sensual. Elegant, hypnotic, provocative, olfactorily unusual, it blends psycho-physical pleasure with that on the skin."

Ginger ~ "The essence of energy long a Ginger synonym of vitality, energy and virility. It stands out for its freshness and persistence, it is remembered for its bracing, pungent and free spirit in olfactory harmony with our own times."

Il Profumo Cannabis and Ginger are available in 50 and 100 ml, concentration unknown. (via ilprofumoshop)

Q: “What is that you’re wearing?”
    A: “Cannabis.”

Lol. I remember some actress wearing a cannabis dress to an award’s ceremony years ago and when asked what it was made of the host interviewing her was kind of taken aback. Hey, it’s a versatile fiber.

I never heard of anyone refer to the fiber as cannibis rather than hemp. Was she just trying to be provocative?

Most likely. I’ve never heard anyone else refer to the fiber as cannabis either. The company I work for insures a hemp retailer. They have an entire section on their store’s admittedly hiliarious website explaining the difference between hemp and marijuana.

      Too funny!
      Conversation:
Me:”You asked what fragrance I was wearing. It’s called Cannabis”
Other: “You look like it’s bringing you pleasure”.
      Me: “Not just pleasure.Psycho pleasure”.

I think I’m going to make it my mission to try to work the phrase “psycho pleasure” into as many conversations as possible.

Oh is that what cannabis is supposed to give you? Psycho-pleasure? I myself have only experienced psycho-paranoia!

On the other hand….years ago…. Maybe we could get a sample and pass it around?
I’m sorry I ran with that!

Lol! Yes, allegedly. Long ago allegedly. I’m game for the perfume, though. Maybe that’ll work for me. I do like Fresh’s Cannabis Rose. Haven’t tried Cannabis Santal, though I’m not sure why as I *heart* sandalwood.

I took a look at the SIP website, and apparently they will also release Arunima, Atlantic, and Black Rosette in EdP soon.

Curious right now about Ginger, but I’ll forget about it by this evening, no doubt.

I definitely confuse il Profumo with profumo.it. It’s a large line too; my interested is piqued in a few after cruising around that website.

SIP… Oh No! Not another gorgeous sounding amber! I really like that bottle too….. I’ll just pretent I didn’t see this post. 😉

“Elektrou” sounds like my toddler trying to say: I like you.

That bought a smile to my lips, Miss Kitty.
LaMaroc- Cannabis Santal? Love sandalwood! It might be too much pleasure that would make me psycho!
