Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Now 2010 v. 2 ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 20 October 2010 18 Comments

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Now 2010 version 2

Victoria's Secret has introduced a second version of their limited edition Very Sexy Now fragrance for 2010:

What's sexy now? Dazzling glamour. Hot metallics. A hypnotic glow. Electrify the night in this provocative, limited-edition mix of midnight-blooming jasmine, succulent blackberry and white amber. Very Sexy Now™ is bold and luminous in the rich, sizzling colors of the season. Inspired by the electric energy of a night out—the flash of a sequined dress, the glittering city lights, the magic of midnight under the stars—the collection is all dressed up in shimmering textures and vibrant hues of fuchsia, plum and black.

If you missed it, you can see the spring edition here.

Victoria's Secret Very Sexy Now 2010 v. 2 is available for a limited time, in 75 ml Eau de Parfum. (via victoriassecret)

And sadly…the original Very Sexy Now wasn’t a bad scent. Though I did hate telling people what it was when they asked…

I once had a really terrific haircut, but when asked where I’d went I had to reply “The Playboy Hair Salon”, and I never went back!

“If by ‘very’ you mean ‘not at all’…” (Or whatever it was that was said in The Guide. I may be misquoting.)

2010 v.2? Is this a whole new level of flankerage? Are flankers going to be given names akin to Windows operating systems?

Yup. Apparently it is way too difficult for Victoria’s Secret to come up with new (and more ridiculous) names, so they’re resorting to same name, year, volume and soon .# for revisions. In the works: Very Sexy Now 2010 v3.1 & v3.2 and maybe even a v3.3 before 2010 is done.

They are not using the year or the volume number — I am! Otherwise I do not see how to keep track. They’re just calling it “Very Sexy Now”.

My bad, I’m sorry. Still, I wouldn’t put it past some brands!

If it hasn’t been done yet, it no doubt will be before long!

Oooops again! Sorry, Robin, I didn’t mean to go off on you. Actually, I would love it if companies started to stamp dates on their fragrances or would have to use a date or year in their title when they reformulate.

Oh, you didn’t at all — it just occurred to me that some people might actually think that’s the “official” name.

      “Sexy snow” as next flanker?

I read too quickly and thought the first line of the ad copy said “What now?” Lol! Sorry, that was just my ‘tude interfering with my comprehension.

I wear Very Sexy red (the very first one.) My husband helped me pick it out. He smelled VS pink and said it was too teenagery and that the red was more grown up. It has some sort of chile or red pepper note that I love.
