Space NK Laughter Nuit ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 13 October 2010 18 Comments

Space NK Laughter Nuit

Space NK has introduced Laughter Nuit, a followup to 1999's Laughter fragrance for women:

Introducing Laughter Nuit, an evocative fragrance with a sexy evening twist.

Laughter Nuit encapsulates an evening in Marrakech, enigmatic, heady and mysterious. It offers a sultry new scent – balmy, rare, evocative, enchanting, and wholly addictive. A trail of warm Incense, Cedar and Musk is scored with ripe Grapefruit and Bergamot, layered with delicate Violet, Saffron and Cinnamon – a combination that is truly intoxicating and sensual.

Space NK Laughter Nuit is available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette, £45. (via spacenk)

Me too. Unfortunately (?), that’s the only thing that appeals to me.

I wonder who created it since, according to Space.NK website, Christopher Sheldrake did the original. I keep meaning to try it simply because of that but always forget.

He did a few for Space NK…the only one I tried was Melodrama, which was nice but not outstanding.

Ok, and have to grumble… couldn’t they have called it Night Laughter instead? Mixing languages is so silly.

If it still makes sense mixed, I’m fine with it. 😉

Ooh, bottle lust! The fragrance sounds interesting as well. I did sniff the original Laughter long ago and only recall it being ‘not my thing’ which probably means I found it too fresh/ floral. SpaceNK now on list of places to pop in to.

that purple sure caught my eye! But cedar (BO) and grapefruit (urine) in the same fragrance?? You know that’s scary, right?

I’m with Daisy. Sounds like a mess to me. It may smell wonderful, who knows? But this list of notes is definitely making me a bit queasy.

If there is anything that I have learned in my pursuit of fragrance, it is that you cannot judge a scent by its list of notes… Something that reads horrible as a list can be pure magic on the skin, when made by a talented nose…

I always thought I hate bergamot, because sometimes it can be so sharp that it gives me heartburn (really), but in the right hands (and with the right body chemistry), it is just gorgeous…

Still, there are a lot of disappointing fragrances out there…

true, very true….however, certain notes on a list can make me very cautious.

about the only thing they could do to make it scarier is to add a big dollop of raspberry…..then it could be BO, urine and doody. …a triple threat!
