Here are a few more companies donating proceeds in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. If you missed part 1, you can find it here.
A Perfume Organic is donating 20% of all October purchases to Susan G Komen For The Cure.
From Donna Karan, Cashmere Mist in the BCA bottle with a pink ribbon on the outer packaging. A portion of the proceeds go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. At department stores.
From Versace, the Versace Bright Crystal Breast Cancer Awareness Set: "Experience this rare beauty with the Bright Crystal Breast Cancer Awareness gift set; including a 1.7 Eau de Toilette, 1.7 oz Body Lotion and a Breast Cancer Awareness pouch and charm set." $67 at Macy's.
From Kim Kardashian, her signature perfume in a BCA rollerball in packaging designed by her fans. 10% of the proceeds go to Young Survival Coalition. $14.99 at Perfumania.
From Yankee Candle: "Help provide A Light of Hope for a world without Breast Cancer! Yankee Candle supports the National Breast Cancer Foundation in their mission to fund mammograms for those in need. Give a light of hope to those affected by this disease. Plus, enjoy the wonderful Mandarin Cranberry fragrance which is bursting with the vibrant, fruity sensation of sweet, sunny oranges and crisp, tangy cranberries." $14.99.
This is for such a good cause. I remember watching something a while back, probably on Discovery, but can’t remember, where the commentator had said any cancer is serious, but doctors worry about breast cancer since the breasts are so close to the lungs and the potential for metasisis is great. My Aunt is a breast cancer survivor.
Love those A Perfume Organic bottles!
They’re really pretty!
Sometimes I feel like so many companies donate for one month just for their own publicity. Whatever the reason, better to donate something rather than not donate at all. Praise should be given, though, to perfume makers like Juliet by Juliet Stewart, who has always been donating, all year, year after year after year, to the fight against Breast Cancer. Juliet donates 10% of every bottle to a Cancer Treatment Center in NYC, and she doesn’t just put a pretty pink ribbon on the bottles for one month to do it. Please check out her website to read more about her great charity work (n/a). And btw, her perfume is gorgeous!
Good to know, thanks!
I agree on using a good cause to make publicity.
It is so much better to just donate $30 directly than buy something you dont really want or need. From those 10% or $2 you donate through buying something, a very small amount actually helps the cause.
But two big thumbs up to companies that donate all year round! And a applause to every company focusing on Breast Cancer awareness through donating campaigns!
I have heard good things about that scent.
