More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.
From Thierry Mugler, a limited edition refillable bottle of Alien: "Leave it to Thierry Mugler to adorn his favorite Alien in a tracery of fabulous golden jewelry. Sassy and a bit audacious, Alien is dressed to perfection in amethyst with a true couture touch and embellished with a couture bracelet. Discover the season’s most fashionable visitor and mysterious provocateur. Become the stunning feminine goddess of the show where divine scent prevails." $110 for 60 ml Eau de Parfum, at Dillard's.
From Hermès, a limited edition travel spray in Terre d'Hermès: 30 ml, comes with a 125 ml refill. (I think this is new? I have not seen it before). At Douglas in Germany, 91€.
From Clarins, Eau Dynamisante Collector Coeur 2010. For each bottle sold, Clarins will donate 5€ to charity. (via parfums-tendance.fr)
From Viktor & Rolf, Flowerbomb in the Flowerbomb Tulle Edition. Due to launch in October in 50 ml. (via conseillere-de-beaute.fr, cosmetiquemag.fr)
From Avon, a solid perfume pendant on a fabric cord, featuring the Outspoken by Fergie fragrance. Available now as part of a gift set (includes Eau de Parfum & Body Lotion, $36); it will be sold separately ($15) at a later date. (via avon)
So, is that a wearable bracelet on the Alien bottle? Either way it is very pretty. Not alluring enough, though, for me to purchase another bottle. I’m fine with my plain ol’ unadorned Alien.
Good question — I have no idea.
My first thought? Alien: the Bondage Edition.
other than that –that pendant is pretty. 🙂
Ha!
Oh, and see… I thought the gold looked like a spider web, and was thinking “Halloween edition”.
The Clarins bottle is extremely cheesy looking. Their packaging is too department store-esque.
I agree. That thing is horrible.
It looks like a drugstore nail polish bottle with a short cap!
Yeah, not loving that one.
Too bad I’m not a fan of Flowerbomb. The frou-frouness of the bottle in the tutu is girly cuteness epitomized. I am way too girly for my own good. 😀
It is way cute. Doubt it holds up to regular usage though.
I would be very gentle with it. lol
from one girly-girl to another…..ever try Fifi Chachnil?
Hi D! I don’t think I’ve tried that one – should double check my samples though, I know there’s some in the stash I haven’t tried yet…
we do like many of the same things and I adore Fifi….let me know if you find it in your vial pile.
That one’s been languishing in my vial pile too (it’s been too hot for Fifi…). Now that it’s somewhat cooler, I think I’ll get it out.
There’s quite a list of stuff I’ve been saying, Hey, I ought to get out the X.
Mals–Fifi likes a bit cooler weather! You’re more organized than I am…..you have a list….I have a “bowl” of cooler weather tries. It’s kind of a “blind grab” exercise here.
I agree — that bottle is adorable! Unfortunately I’m not much of a Flowerbomb fan either (or maybe fortunately, in this case).
I KNOW! It’s a good thing I don’t like Flowerbomb, or I’d be snagging that thing right now…
I’m too girly for MY own good, too.
Is the Flowerbomb Tulle Edition (clown-town version) the same or a different scent, I wonder?
Same stuff.
Looking good, Alien.
I think so, too. I’m tempted to buy this one for a backup (my current bottle is non-refillable.)
I would like that Hermes bottle so much if it had a nicer top – a solid looking glass thingy would be cool.
V: That top doesn’t actually come off; like all the Terre bottles, it’s threaded and the outer ring sort of screws down toward the bottle, revealing the atomizer hole.
I’m just thinking 91€ doesn’t sound outrageous for 155ml of juice. I wish all bottles were refillable… seems to be a new trend for Hermes as they did it with Voyage as well.
Ah – thanks for the clarification Joe. Since I’ve never had a FB of Hermes ANYTHING, I wouldn’t have known. LOL
