Thymes Filigree returns

Posted by Robin on 16 September 2010 16 Comments

Thymes Filigree

Thymes is relaunching Filigree for a limited time:

We are thrilled to be offering our Special Edition Filigree Eau de Parfum. Since Filigree retired in 2009, we have received daily requests to bring the fragrance back. Never before in our history have we received this level of response. Which makes us all the more excited to be able to offer this long-standing customer favorite for the holiday season. Packaged in an elegant white box with silver embossed detail, it truly makes the perfect holiday gift.

Fragrance: An intricately balanced blend of rich amber, juniper berry and warm cedarwood, layered with neroli and white willow

If you pre-order by the end of September, you're guaranteed a bottle; the fragrance will ship in November.

Thymes Filigree is $60 for 100 ml Eau de Parfum and can be pre-ordered now at their website. (via newsletter from Thymes)

Wish I knew more about this one. There seems to be a lot of excitement on the various boards about the relaunch.

From all the comments I’ve read about it, I’m curious about this one, too. It sounds very nice.

When my review of Thymes Ambersweet Orange was posted last week, and I lamented the loss of Filigree (and a few others joined in), I had no idea this relaunch was about to happen. Good news!!

Is this the one I had a room spray version of?

If it is….I loved it as a room spray – but that was many years ago, before my nose went AWOL. My memory of it was very soft and delicate powdery and feminine. I’ll have to give this a try to check.

By the way – has anyone else heard of the 75ml releases of Chanel exclusifs? I think they are actually out there now. I read somewhere it is only for 4 of the scents so far, but its a start!.

I think I read about the new Chanels on Twitter, but haven’t gone over to check.

I don’t know if they do or not…I meant that one of the people I follow there said something. Don’t remember when or what or who though…as soon as I saw 75 ml and not all of the scents, I tuned out. Did you check the US Chanel website to see if they’re for sale?

Not on the Chanel website yet. An entire BN thread on the topic though.

75ml avail at some Saks locations; 4 frags – Coromandel (yay… Mom’s xmas gift!), Sycomore, Cologne, Beige.

I couldn’t see them there. I can’t find anything official, just “rumours”. Proof would be much better. Accessibility even more so!

I love Filigree! I was one of the people who nagged Thymes over and over again to bring it back. I spent months searching for it to avoid paying the crazy prices it was selling for on ebay. With the help of some great MUA’ers, I found a couple of bottles in a tiny store located down South. Now that I’m stocked up, I doubt if I’ll buy another bottle from Thymes, but the price they are offering it at is really good!

Thank you, thank you, thank you for posting this! I loved Filigree but haven’t been able to find it for years. I have already pre-ordered mine. Now I just hope I’m not disappointed that it has changed or my tastes have changed.

Did anyone buy this? I missed the Christmas re-release. It’s still available through an Amazon vendor, but one individual said they’d ordered it and it was “thin,” compared to the original. I was nuts enough about it to buy a bottle of eau de parfum and a bottle of body wash on ebay, after bidding about 3X their original prices. I’m happy to have it, but would like another perspective on the new one.
