Posted by Robin on 5 July 2010 25 Comments

Bath & Body Works Forever Sunshine fragrance

Bath & Body Works has launched Forever Sunshine, a new fragrance in their Signature collection for women:

Master perfumers have blended golden apricot, pink peonies, vanilla musk and a hint of praline to create this fresh fragrance that captures the romance of warm days that linger into cool autumn. Wear it whenever you crave the essence of summer.

Additional notes include tangerine, mandarin, berries, gardenia, freesia and sandalwood.

Bath & Body Works Forever Sunshine is available in 75 ml Eau de Toilette ($29.50) or 236 ml Fragrance Mist ($12), and in a variety of bath & body products. (via bathandbodyworks.com)

    Master perfumers!!!

Hehe, I do like a couple of their scents. I need to get on board one of their buy 3 get a million free deals.

They were having a super sale this past weekend when I ducked in. Buy 3 get 3, and many items were only $3 or were 50-75% off. I couldn’t resist the Bigelow lemon cologne at 75% off!

Forever sunshine seemed nice when I tried it – like a sweet citrus. I thought it smelled like a sweet lemon chiffon. I’m kicking myself for not getting their bright blue 60s themed Moonlit Path bath gel at 75% off. It smelled like a mix of Angel and a bright blue Slurpee spilled on hot summer asphalt. I miss it!

Moonlit Path is a very nice fragrance.

I’ll have to stop by and see if they’re still having a sale. I would love Bigelow Lemon also. I want a few of BBW vanilla scents (vanilla noir, warm vanilla sugar, the vanilla lemon body spray).

Pretty sure their big annual sale is still on…

Interesting, I’ll check it out on my intensive visits to the mall ;-)
Funny that with the “additional notes” I could have a totally satisfactory perfume :-)

I love the colour on the bottle.
I would put a simpler cap and take out the flower scribbling..hehehehe
Inside I’d put something that smells like tequila sunrise (cause that is what the bottle reminds me of) hehehehe.

But I think they’ve been wise to stop using “plain” glass bottles…too much competition these days not to “decorate” ;-)

        You are right.
Its just that I am a sucker for plain bottles and minimalism.
It is either that or I go the other direction and fall in love with chinese overdecorated antique bottles hehehehe

I haven´t been able to test Coney Island yet.
I usually don’t like the Bonds but I have hope!
        Coney Island here I go….

Love the colors and design on the bottle. Fragrance sounds too tutti-frutti for my taste, darn it! Still, I might try it just for fun.

They kinda had me until the “praline” note, but I’ll still give it a whirl. I purged my BBW collection down to a few I actually wear, but I still get drawn in now and again. Fortunately the last few times I was, I was able to say, “I don’t need anything!”.

It didn’t smell very “praline” to me – I think it’s just code for “warm and sweet”.

Tried this over the weekend but didn’t feel the need to own it. The praline didn’t work for me. Did snag a Bigelow Lemon and Orange Blossom edp for $8.50 though so not a wasted trip.

I also got the lemon and orange blossom edp! I thought it was pretty darn nice for $8.50. I still haven’t opened it though, I’m wearing the lemon-lime today.

How’s the lemon lime? I wanted to try that one too but my BBW was sold out.

It’s pleasantly sharp and limey – it starts with peel and moves to juice. It satisfies my craving for the Penhaligon’s Extract of Limes, but the mid-notes and drydowns for Lemon-Lime and Lemon-Orange Blossom are pretty similar. besides the very top notes, they aren’t that different. They are both very nice, but I had to choose, I’d pick Orange Blossom, as the opening is a little more sophisticated than Lime’s. But I’m excited to put Lime in my refrigerator as a treat for hot days.

I’m so behind on sampling the BBW scents that look appealing, but this does sound good. I’m just crushed since I think Vanilla Noir and Enchanted Orchid are being discontinued. :( They weren’t ground-breaking or anything, but were both really well done in my opinion. This looks intriguing as I want to explore apricot more as a note.

I also really enjoyed the Enchanted Orchid, it was the only one I was able to wear for more than a day. It was very elegant for BBW, a lovely intertwined floral. They always discontinue the good ones :(

Since I own a couple of BBW scents…
Rainkissed leaves, Butterfly kisses, Moonlight Path, Dancing Waters, Deep Aqua, Enchanted Orchid, White Tea and Ginger and last but not least White Citrus it would only be right to make a trip to check this one out. Not that I need anymore bath stuff.
