Clive Christian C For Women ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 1 July 2010 16 Comments

Clive Christian C For Women

Luxury niche line Clive Christian will launch C For Women next month (and see also: C For Men):

"C" for Women embraces the Clive Christian Perfume House accord of Rose and Jasmine Absolute, yet here it is pushed to crescendo in union with Violet and Tuberose to reveal a perfume brimming with voluptuousness and dangerous pleasure.

The notes include bergamot, coriander seed, lie de vin (cognac oil, wine sediment), narcissus, geranium, mandarin, petitgrain, tagete, tuberose, jasmine, rose, violet, osmanthus, ylang ylang, orange blossom, cistus, amber, vetiver, vanilla, tonka bean, sandalwood and musk.

Clive Christian C For Women is available now for pre-order at Neiman Marcus, $375 for 50 ml "perfume spray". (via neimanmarcus)

Wow. I’m trying to figure out what sort of fragrance this would be with such a long list of notes…

    $375 for 50ml? Isn’t that a bit of a discount price for a CC? 😉

It’s actually more than 1872 or X, but only a little bit more 🙂

and much less than No.1. Not worth the price due to them being so traditional, classical, good quality ingredients, but nothing extraordinary or unusual or adventerous about them. Guerlain, as industry standard has much better creations for a much cheaper proce (cheaper compared to CC). even tried them as pure perfumes, but though they are lovely it’sw simply not worth taht much money.

yeah that’s like a bargain for CC 😉

I wouldn’t really say it’s a niche line (it’s the very tighest niche line)
it’s more of an exclusive brand.

but I still think CC is stupid.

A very expensive hot mess! And maybe I’m still being affected by our discussion yesterday about spelling and lolcats, but…”C for Women” ??? 🙂

Well if it is “brimming with voluptuousness and dangerous pleasure” then it must be worth my $375. 😉

Pushed to crescendo? In union? Brimming? Voluptuousness? Dangerous pleasure?

Sounds like a quickie in the library stacks!

I got a couple of samples of this from the Neiman Marcus SA. I bought X and I love it. So wasn’t sure what to expect when I tried “C” and I love it too. It has that complexity that “X” has. You can smell the florals at first and then as it settles each layers start to appear. After three hours of wearing you finally get down to the mid base notes, Vanilla and Tuberose. Finally after 5 hours you get to the Sandalwood and Musk. As with “X” the perfume lasted close to 24 hours on me. While it seems to go on heavy and intense most people around me couldn’t really smelled it unless they were really close to me. It’s not one of those perfumes that you don’t want to get trapped in an elevator with! LOL 🙂 and I wore it on a very warm summer day. Love the perfum. Might be might Christmas present to myself!
