Reminiscence by Reminiscence fragrance

French jewelry house Reminiscence celebrates their 40th anniversary this year with Reminiscence by Reminiscence, a new fragrance for women:

A scented tale imagined on a starry night by the seaside: A star fell from the skies into a bottle, giving birth to a fragrant dream.

Reminiscence is a woody-spicy oriental; the notes include bergamot, marigold, star anise, pepper, jasmine, may blossom, nutmeg, sandalwood, patchouli, cedar, pine, vanilla and amber.

Reminiscence by Reminiscence is available in 100 ml Eau de Parfum, 90€. (via reminiscence.fr, additional information via estheticfactory.fr)

It’s wonderful, isn’t it? There are stores that carry it here, but not many.

I just want it displayed in my room. Oh it reminds me of the shoebox dioramas I had to make in elementary. Except 100x more stunning and fun!! LOL!! : )

Beautyhabit carries this brand, don’t they? hmmm I know I’ve seen it on some site…..
The packaging is really cute—doesn’t hurt that I’ve been on a aqua kick lately—I didn’t even realize until I spread out all the jewelry I’ve made in the last week or two and saw that well over half was some shade of aqua!
Reminiscence does a good job with Patch. ….they love patch…so I’m wondering how evident the patch in this one will be.

Yes, they do. Usually takes a bit for new scents to get there though…I think right now this is exclusive to the Reminiscence boutiques in France.

Love the packaging and bottle! Though the description of the fragrance doesn’t seem to “fit” the image? Just looking at the bottle, I’d expect something tropical!

Yeah, probably, although hard to tell without smelling it.

True. You know, this is one of those fragrances that I want just because of the bottle! Hope it smells good. :-)

It is odd – the packaging is “reminiscent” of an evening on a tropical shore, but then has cedar listed as an ingredient! However, after reading Celia Lyttelton’s “The Scent Trail,” and understanding that so many of the winter-associated spices come from such warm places, it’s easy to see how one might link nutmeg, pepper, etc. to an exotic beachy place.

And, of course, the packaging is to die for!

I love the Rem Patchouli, and have almost bought a FB of it a few times. It is very soft and easy to wear. This sounds very very pretty. And the packaging is cute.

Notes sound like something I would like, and I do like that diorama thingy–the drawing style and palm tree at night make it seem a bit Where the Wild Things Are-esque.

Heh. I have a soft spot for Reminiscence and its whimsical (or “whimsicle” – depending on your appreciation of it…) packaging. I approve. Too bad I probably won’t see it in person either.

I have to admit to squealing when I saw the packaging – how cute! It’s funny though because that packaging actually appeals to me (or the 6th grader in me anyway) way more than the fancy packaging of the Kilian line.
