I’ll give it a go, assuming it makes it to my local L’O store. Could be a horror show, could be a poor-man’s Fleurs de Sel. 🙂

LOL…that’s a good way of looking at it! Don’t know when it launches globally, and have not even run over there to try Verdon yet…

I got to try verdon here in bs as…it seems it was rushed for fathers day.
Verdon is nice, but too minty for me. It might work wonders for a conventional male(which I am not)

I like minty, but not overly fresh…was it very fresh?

It is pretty fresh, but blends in with the fragrance.
It is not 100% spearmint toothpaste, but still not great for me.
Sorry for the delay in answering, its just that I don’t click on the “let me know if someone answers this post” thingie. 🙁

Joe, I don’t get any aquatic at all in Fleurs de Sel.

If they’d left off the “aquatic accord”, I’d be drooling. As it stands, I’ll undoubtedly check it out next time I a) am at the mall and b) remember there’s new stuff at L’O.

Not much in to aquatic scents, but the Calanques are so typical of this region, I’ll give it a try. Living in Provence is fabulous!

Hello Megan, where are you in Provence? I live near Aix…

Salt would be nice. Aquatic? Hmmm. Not so sure. But those basenotes could save it. I have to try it, if for no other reason, because I love the Calanques. I wish it had a mimosa note–that is the scent I associate most with that region.

The base notes really do sound nice.

What does salt smell of? Always wondered that.

Sounds like it has potential so I am hoping the aquatic is not too pronounced. I am going to be in there tomorrow to get some Labdanum ( she is in love with it but I prefer Donna Karan’s version)as a gift for a friend so I will give it a sniff and report back.

Also: it’s curious that this line is available on the Russian L’O website already, but according to pinkmelon it won’t be available in stores (at least in Germany, if not elsewhere) until August. Hopefully it will hit shelves here before September.

Thanks Joe, I missed the August part, but yeah, still doesn’t tell us when it will launch here.

Now! I stopped by today and they were quick to point me toward this collection “just out this week”. I didn’t try it on skin, but now wish I would have instead of that foul Eau Claire thingy from Hermes (the Merveilles line just doesn’t work for me at all). On paper, this opens with fairly fleeting pine, and after that is just beachy, along the lines of CSP or CBIHP’s beach scents. It wasn’t too fresh/aquatic/air freshener, but again, that was just on paper, so who knows.
