Thanks, Robin! This is the most charming and appealing the-making-of clip I’ve seen. She’s a sweetheart and it’s lovely to see that come through and be encouraged by the photographer. The dress is a stunner, the art direction just perfect for the scent, and if I were a young girl I’d want to run out and buy a bottle immediately.
I know it’s apples and oranges, but I can’t help thinking about Beyonce’s behind-the-scenes clip and cringing. The Chance Eau Tendre shoot is the antithesis of the whole Sex Sells philosophy – a much-needed breath of fresh air.
BTW, I just picked up a sample of Eau Tendre yesterday and it exactly matches the look of the shoot: very floral, very French, and not too sweet or fruity. Too young for me, but it would be just right on someone in their late teens or twenties. Good for Chanel.
She really is charming…and gosh, 17!
When I was 17, I was a mess. Bad skin, bad hair, bad attitude. I would have loved to look even one quarter that pretty, fresh and innocent. 😉
I really liked this, and thought it was interesting to actually hear the model talk.
I couldn’t help but notice that, in the ad, she ends up naked. I wonder how that happened and why we weren’t, if not shown that, at least informed. Kinda sketchy, them showing her in that dress and using an ad where she’s wearing a bouquet bikini.
Looks like the final ad was done via photoshop…which we knew would happen since she was never holding that bottle, right?
at the end we se her wearing the “robe de chambre’ white, which means she was photoshooting naked, but they didn’t show it in the making of!!
OMGosh has anyone else noticed the pun in the subtitles in the preview image?
“It’s on top of you, and you’re on top of it.”
Sounds mildly minxy to me.
