Lolita Lempicka has launched L'Eau au Masculin, a new fresher version of 2001's Lolita Lempicka au Masculin:

A fragrance for men seeking the essentiel

Nature as anchor point, water as symbol… L’Eau au Masculin is the fragrance of Men who are pure at heart, of men seeking the essential.

An effervescent and spicy Eau de Toilette Eau de Toilette with the piquant clarity of Violet Wood. [sic]

The notes for the spicy woody citrus fragrance include pink pepper, verbena, jasmine, violet wood, vetiver and olive wood.

Lolita Lempicka L'Eau au Masculin is available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (via parfumslolitalempicka)

Might be worth a sniff. The original produced much too strong a licorice note for me, but it doesnt seem like this combination would do so.

They don’t mention licorice, at any rate…

I’ve never smelled the 2001 version but I’ve seen good reviews so I’m very interested in trying this.

O I cant wait to try this!! If it ever makes it to the US! I really LOVED the original mens!! Too bad it isnt around anymore. I never go to try the other versions of it. I doubt I’ll like this one as much as the original seein as how its “fresher”, but I still want to try it. I LOVE the bottle. : )

I liked the original for about 20 (metaphorical) minutes… long enough to be satisfied by buying a mini and that is all.

Jonr951: are you implying the original au Masculin is discontinued or you just don’t see it on shelves? I’m sure it’s still available online.

jonr951, it is still available, though I can’t swear for sure that it is still being made. At least, there are ancillary products galore along with the original Eau Masculine mens’ line on all the big discount sites (Fragrancenet, Beauty Encounter, Fragrancex etc.). I just got a mini of the original mens’ version of LL and I adore it. It is very similar to the womens’ and I can and do happily wear both now, but it smells fantastic on The CEO especially since I’m not always a huge fan of licorice but it’s just magic on his skin. I do wish they’d release a Midnight Eau Masculine as they have with the original LL. I love that juice, the bottle and the whole concept in general. Lolita Lempicka EdP is one of my all time fave perfumes.

I’d be curious to smell this lighter take as long as they don’t take out the licorice feel all together. It is just a lovely and reasonably priced cologne, and along with Escada’s Magnetism for men, is one of my favorite frags geared toward the male consumer that I love to wear.

With due respect to those who like the bottle, I beg to differ… it kinda looks like the latest from the Bedrock Perfume Co. something Wilma might buy for Fred…
