Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2010, part 8

Posted by Robin on 28 April 2010 25 Comments

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

Annick Goutal Petite Cherie solid perfume

Due to launch in May, new limited edition items for Annick Goutal Petite Cherie will include an Eau de Toilette with a polka dot ribbon, a rollerball, and the adorable solid perfume compact shown above. (via ellecanada, shopping-premiereavenue)

From Acqua di Parma, the iconic Colonia in an "Eau de Cologne Prestige Edition" with (reusable) yellow calfskin case. In 100 ml, £74 at Escentual in the UK.

Pucci Vivara edition turquoise

From Pucci, the limited edition Vivara édition turquoise. Due to launch in May, 66€ for 50 ml. (via vogue.fr)

Gucci travel spray

From Gucci, a travel spray in Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme; also available in Gucci by Gucci Pour Homme Sport. 45€ for 30 ml, and due to launch in May. (also via vogue.fr)

Reminiscence Patchouli

From Reminiscence, the popular Patchouli Eau de Toilette in the 200 ml "Vintage Collection" edition (which may or may not be limited edition). $130 at Beautyhabit.

I love the solid for Petite Cherie – it’s very retro. It kind of reminds me of my retro blue bottle of Youth Dew, same kind of 50s feel. Sadly, solids don’t really seem to work on me, although I love many of the compacts they come in.

I love it too…hope they’ll do some more like that. Would LOVE a nice purple one with Mandragore!

ohhh, that would get me too! Anything purple just calls to me lately….I think I’ve worn a purple sweater of some sort for the last week…including today (different ones, I promise ;-) )

I *love* that compact! I don’t do solids either, but I wonder if the pear is less volatile in solid form? I’m sure it’s not, but I can use that as justification to buy something that cute.

      Hi Cynthia,
I love my old YD bottle too, I have one that belonged to my grandmother from years ago.
Can I just say-major lemming for the AG solid…. That is my fav color of blue…..

The Petite Cherie rollerball might be nice too. Wouldn’t mind a Mandragore Pourpre rollerball either if anyone at AG is listening! Yoo hoo!

Love that compact, and the darker seafoam dots match my sweater today! Must mean I’m supposed to buy it…. ;-)

I’m cooing over it too. (Not that I’ll actually buy it, I’ll just coo.)

The AG compact is charming, but so is that Pucci jar. Or– what is it exactly? Is there a spray mechanism underneath that psychedelic mushroom cap?

As I recall, it is a spray underneath. I love those Pucci bottles, too, just hate the juice, or I’d have one.

I have the original bottle (well, not “original” original – just from this incarnation of Vivara) and it is really cute. I like the juice, although I haven’t worn it for awhile – it isn’t really super easy to hold and spray though.

You know, I still want the yellow Vivara Variazione “Sole” just for the yellow cap. The juice wasn’t too bad either — jasmine + tomato leaf.

They’re all real adorable! It’s too bad solids don’t always having staying power. I would love to give that patchouli atomizer a big squezze to see what it smells like.

OMG I want the Gucci just ‘cos of the monogrammed bottle. And I don’t even like the fragrance that much!

    (Does that make me shallow…?)

Nope that makes me agree with you. That gucci bottle is too cute! I actually like the fragrance it smells great on my husband. His skin just adapts well to any fragrance.

I’ve been off and on interested in Reminiscence Patch since I got a big sample of it from beautyhabit last fall. It is a great solo patch fragrance that seems ahead of it’s time, although deep and rich too. About the time I was thinking of buying it: a) I got a decant of Noir Epices which really does patch so well, and b) Coromandel kind of swooped in and kicked it’s tushie. Poor Reminiscence Patch I think – but still a good patch fragrance. It is one of those fragrances that I’d wish someone would give me as a gift, so I could still have it!

Cormandel is the one Chanel I’d take to the desert island.

That AG solid is adorable! Sometimes solid fragrances work and some times they don’t. So I understand what some of you have been saying. However, one solid I LOVE is Habanita. It is much softer than the spray versions.
