They’d sound less boring if I could read German. But I can’t.

Ah, Daisy, you’ve just reached “jaded perfumista” stage. Has anyone alerted your credit card of your new status?

I’m sure these are fine “body spray” type thingies.

Can any NST reader comment: is this line only very big in Germany, or throughout Europe? I’m thinking it’s like a step above the European version of Axe, but for both sexes?

I live in Germany, and MEXX is NOT very big here, at least not amongst my friends… As far as high-street fashion goes, it isn’t nearly as popular as the other big chain stores (H&M, Zara, AA, etc.).

And beerk, their ad and description sound booooring.

It’s a clothing store, I know there’s at least one in a mall near me(Toronto).

When I first glanced at the ad and saw the picture, I thought it was an ad for condoms. Wondered if Robin had changed direction on us!

You’re not alone- it looks distinctly pharmacuetical doesn’t it?

“First Sunshine”? As opposed to “Last”? Is the name lost in translation? I guess “First Light’s” been done…

Yeah, First Light would have been better.

Mexx is a clothing brand on the price-level of Esprit, (if that helps), which is more expensive than H&M for example.
This scent Mexx Woman / Man is long-running in it’s original form, and each year now they have flankers in summer.
Actually that above is one of the first flankers revisited, according to pages like cosmoty (I think) it´s said that this was their best-selling and thus most favourite flanker.
I remember it from the first version, it was pretty alright, I almost bought it ;) In Germany, it falls in the category of “Drugstore-perfume”, as opposed to those that are only available at the perfumery-stores like Douglas (something like Sephora, just smaller – I wish we had Sephora instead).

Only in the recent years drugstore-perfume brands really amped up the prices – if you compare that they ask for 10 – 15 Euros for 15ml sometimes, it´s much cheaper to buy a classic at the perfumery instead. However, in fall when the new winter-flankers arrive, most of the stuff gets discounted to clear the shelves; only few stay each year.

The girl on the add was the first Winner of Heidi Klums Germany Next Top Model contest, this wannabe models and runway TV show.

MEXX is average, average, average. Clothes as well as perfume. Not that expensive.
