Rosine Une Rose au Bord de la Mer

Les Parfums de Rosine will launch Une Rose au Bord de la Mer in May. The new limited edition fragrance 'tells the story of a fantastic summer vacation'.

Wait a minute. Didn’t they JUST launch a new one? Something dark? How busy are they over there, anyway.

You’re probably thinking of Secrets de Rose, which was 2009. We get them so slowly in the US! But they are busy. They’ve done 12 scents that I know of since 2005. Not so much as some brands, I guess…look at Bond no. 9!

Ooooo I love it. I definitely want to sniff this…I hope the “limited edition” status doesn’t prevent that from happening. Also, I sort of love that blue cap & tassel. 🙂

Apparently they’re only doing 200 bottles. So hard to say if we’ll get it here or not.

        ONLY 200 bottles? Sigh…

You could always turn to samples and decants *shrugs*

Sounds like you need to find a bottle and host a split (assuming something near a reasonable price). Ahem. 😉

A Rose at the seaside… sounds nice. I haven’t *loved* every PdR I’ve tried, but they’re all well done.

It sounds like Ecume de Rose! But the notes are quite different.

That was my first (and second) thought as well…and I love EdR.

I agree…a rose at the beach sounds amazing. Since it’s unlikely I’ll be able to give this one a sniff, other suggestions for something similar? Robin, can you describe Ecume de Rose for me? Thanks, Carolyn

Thanks for the link Robin. Should have thought to do search of your site. Clearly *I* haven’t had enough coffee yet today. Think I’ll check out sample at TPC before committing $95 for unsniffed full bottle at Beauty Habit. 🙂

*Sigh* it would be so tempting to buy this unsniffed as it reads so pretty and it is so limited… but I have such a hit or miss relationship with Rosine. The only ones I love that I’ve smelled are Zeste and Rose d’Homme.

I’m kind of hit & miss with them too. I really do like a few of them.

Sounds nice and the bottle is indeed “cool”. Mostly the rose is wearing me, but maybe I can get a sample to try.

Let us know how it is! Doubt I’ll ever try this one.

This does sound pretty though I don’t usually do aquatic. The complete line does seem hard to come by. I can’t seem to even find Rose Praline in the larger bottle stateside. But I love what they do with roses and would definitely sample this.

Yes, their distribution here is spotty & slow.

All the perfumers seem to have a direct line on my taste in bottles recently. . . that little sailor-look is adorable. Must stick to my sniff-before-purchase principles, because the notes as well as the packaging are calling to me.

Sounds kind of good. Ambrette seed and Immortelle? I’d try it.

This sounds great, but I guess it had already sold out when I was just in Paris at the shop, darn it! They’ll probably reissue it, as they seem to be canny about these things ; ) Let’s cross our fingers!
