Posted by Robin on 17 March 2010 15 Comments

Kenzo Kenzoki Splash, Fizz, Mmm & Shh

Kenzo has reformulated and repacked their Kenzoki line of moisturizing 'perfumed beneficial waters':

Energizing Bamboo Splash ~ "A crisp green bamboo leaf fragrance moisturizes the skin while stimulating body and mind. Bamboo tear milk helps tone and energize."

Blissful Ginger Fizz ~ "An exhilarating concentrate with a spicy ginger flower scent to moisturize and invigorate the skin and rouse the senses. Ginger extract reinforces the anti-radical activity of anti-oxidizing agents."

Sensual Rice Mmm ~ "Voluptuous droplets scented with the sensual fragrance of rice steam soften the skin and stir the senses. Rice extract contains nourishing properties."

Relaxing Lotus Shh ~ "A velvety veil with a soft powdery white lotus fragrance to soothe the body and lift the spirit. The lotus complex contains relaxing, soothing properties."

The Kenzo Kenzoki are $45 each for 90 ml and will launch in April. (via press release)

I’m not sure if I understand this…..are these like eau de cologne concentration? What are beneficial waters?

They’re scented moisturizing body sprays…similar to the Aroma line at Lancome, etc.

Oh, I see, thank you for explaining. I’m sure I’ll give them a try when I see them in the shops. Might be very nice for summer since these types of formulas are usually quite light.

Didn’t Shisedo used to have a line like this too? I seem to remember a series of tubes in colors of the spectrum. Or maybe that *was* Kenzo. I confuse the two lines sometimes.

I don’t know…Shiseido has so many fragrances they don’t sell here. Clarins has a line like this though, and so do many other spa-oriented brands.

My immediate mental referants are the Aveda Chakra and the Cinq Monde Pluie D’Aromes lines: very pleasant body sprays that last about an hour or two. I like Kenzo and the price seems okay. I hope these are good.

I’m having fun layering these in my mind…

Shiseido used to have a Relaxing and Energizing line. I was head over heels for the Relaxing products but haven’t seen them in ages… But their alcohol-free Relaxing spray was amazing with fantastic lasting power.

this also reminds me of shu uemura’s depsea water facial mist (comes in all sorts of light fragrances), but it’s not clear if the kenzo is also meant for the face? hmm :)

    Ooh, really nice bottles.

I wonder if these are lighter than even CBIHP water perfume?

Rice and Ginger ones sound gooooood. Yum. “Rice steam” accord excites several people around here, I know. ;)

I’ve heard good things about the rice steam, although I guess this means it’s been redone.
