Issey Miyake will launch A Scent by Issey Miyake Eau de Parfum Florale, a variation on last year's A Scent by Issey Miyake, in April.
The new fragrance is reportedly still green, but with a more feminine character; the notes include jasmine, rose, peony, hyacinth, ylang ylang and galbanum.

Lancôme has launched Aroma Blue, a new addition to their "Aroma Experience" bath and body line.
Aroma Blue's mineral-enriched moisturizing spray features notes of mandarin, citrus, ginger, white flowers, peony, osmanthus, cedar and white musk.

I still haven’t smelled A Scent, but the galbanum in this has me intrigued.
There’s a nice zing of galbanum in the original, too. Still debating whether to get a bottle (or a split) this spring…
Yes, I need to smell A Scent as well. Wonder where I can find it (locally, I mean, since my sniffage opportunities are scarce)…
It’s a nice fresh green, I like it but not entirely in love. Looking forward to trying this new one.
I thought the original A Scent was feminine and floral enough.
Really? I got a fairly straightforward green from it, along the lines of Bel Respiro. But I guess Kevin found it a little on the femme side too.
I’m not familiar enough with Bel Respiro, but my nose (from what I remember) agrees with Rictor I think. It’s not the same kind of “green” as Mandragore, for instance. Which doesn’t mean I don’t like it… I had to have decants of both EL Jasmine White Moss and Cristalle Eau Verte, which are definitely in the same family. I’d be up for a decant of ASBIM if you do a decant. 😉
(I meant, of course, “if you do a split.”)
Oh, and I just might, too. That En Passant is going nowhere in a hurry. 🙁
En Passant? Really? I thought lots of folks were interested… at least enough to do 50ml. Maybe you can end up splitting a travel pack even though relatively, those don’t end up seeming like bargains anymore.
No, not like Mandragore. But I guess I get more grassy green than floral, after the sharp galbanum open.
For me too ASBIM seems along the lines of Bel Respiro, which I already own. There’s also some resembalnce (I think) to Eau de Givenchy, which I also own in large quantaties. So I didn’t bother with ASBIM. But I’m keen to try the new one if it adds just a tiny extra touch of sweetness. 40mls sounds good too.
It was pretty unisex to me, but what do I know.
I cant wait to try ASBIM Florale!!! I LOVED the 1st one!!! : )
I’m looking forward to it too.
I seriously cannot believe there’s a flanker to ASBIM already. When did the original launch? July? August? And I found the original pretty darn high-pitched floral… not super-sweet, mind you, but borderline screechy/headache inducing.
Really, I’m blown away by the speed of the flankerization cycle these days. Interesting sizes too (40/80).
Enjoying the term “flankerization cycle.”
I don’t think it’s supposed to be a flanker, really, just a new concentration…they’re all doing it this way now: the EdT in year one, then the next year the EdP, then come the flankers 😉
Oooooooo……… I am looking forward to the new Lancome Aroma. Ever since they came out, I had all of them. The first was the best, Aroma Tonic with green tea and lemon, in 1999 I think, pioneering the whole green tea and citrus madness. Then came Aroma Fit, Aroma Calme, Aroma Senses or whatever the white one with cedarwood. And Aroma Soleil. Very nice all of them, great sillage for the concentration and excellent value.
I realise this may not ring a bell with the Je Ne Sais Quoi, high priced uber-niche crowd, but not to give this a sniff would be depriving yourself of something good. Trust me 😀
Sounds nice!
