It’s an awful lot of candy! I thought it was a cute commercial though.

It was a cute commercial, but there was a real disconnect for me after watching it and you hear ‘Delicious Candy Apple. A new scent for WOMEN”. Really? Seems geared for toddlers, much less tweens. Sheesh.

Don’t know the target audience for the original Delicious, but guess it’s pretty young! But also guess it makes pots of money for DKNY :-)

I have better numbers selling Be Delicious to men! And no, not the men’s version.

First thing in the morning, I’m a little shocked. I can’t imagine spraying myself with anything related to that promo right now. Maybe after my three cups of coffee.
    Probably not though.

Oh, these are very sweet & not likely to appeal to many perfumistas, still, thought it was a really fun commercial.

I really enjoyed the commercial –it was creative and visually fun! Reminded me of VeggieTales (now I’m going to hum “where is my hairbrush” all day—thanks for that)
HOWEVER , I am not a fan of DKNY ‘s fragrances to date (that whole apple thing doesn’t work for me at all) and now load a bunch of sweet candy AND the apple thing??? Move over Rustic….I’ve got gagging to do too!

I like Delicious Night – quite a bit actually, but that’s the only one from this series so far.

I didn’t love it, but would agree it’s the best so far.

The ad is hilarious! My five-year-old is going to scream with laughter! And you can’t say it isn’t an accurate evocation of the fragrance. That said. . . .

Hilarious + accurate is so much more than we get from most commercials!

That commercial was pretty adorable. I would never want to wear anything that smelled like that, though.

Like most people here I’m not a fan of the DKNY’s but the commercial is adorable! If I were five and watching that, you’d need a mop and bucket to clean up all the drool.

Very cute. Now that I am living in toddler land, I am imagining a campaign for Elmo’s first toddler fragrance – “Red”?? Maybe Oscar the Grouch can release something with a ripe banana, cumin, funky aroma – L’Air de Oscar? And Cookie Monster can do a gourmand? And then Prarie Dawn can be the new face of Estee Lauder fragrances?

A refreshing break from over-the-top-trying-too-hard-sexy, I suppose . . . but I agree with most that this commercial isn’t inspiring me to run to the mall for a sniff.

My first reaction was: OMG! Have we descended into this? It must have cost a fortune to produce this commercial but it’s great! I love colours. However, the demographic is definitely under six years and the fragrances must be geared to under sixteen.

I think you guys way underestimate the appeal of candy, even to older women! The people wearing candied fruity florals are not always under 16.

Does perfume marketing have to be focused on either candy or sex? This is so strange, but at least maybe this ad fits the scents!

No…really, there have been quite a few clever ads lately that rely on neither. Again, will point out the recent Kenzo Flower campaign:

I LOVED it!!! It was so cute & fun!!! Something different from a fragrance commercial. Ill have to try them when I see them but Im really not a fan of the Delicious fragrances. The Red Delicious for men is an exception. I absolutely LOVE that one!!! : )
