New trio of fragrances from Korres

Posted by Robin on 20 January 2009 14 Comments

Korres Pepper, Jasmine, Gaiac wood oil, Passion fruit perfumeKorres has launched a trio of new fragrances:

Pepper, Jasmine, Gaiac wood oil, Passion fruit (shown) ~ "Jasmine is a climbing deciduous shrub with fragrant white or yellow flowers. The so-called jasmine absolute one of perfumery’s most sought-after ingredients is universally known for its intoxicatingly sensuous, intensely floral, warm, rich, sweet and exotic aroma. In Greece jasmine’s sweet smell is associated with blooming gardens old-style yards and open-air cinemas..."

Rose wood, Blackcurrant, Cyclamen ~ "Rose wood is an evergreen tree with a reddish barkand heartwood with an elegant, uplifting sweet floral smell that persists over the years, explaining thus its “soft/hard” name. Blackcurrant leaves, flower buds and berries, carry strongly odoriferous ingredients, lending the plantan individual scent. The distinctive aroma of blackcurrant breaks down to fresh top notes and a sharp fruity background..."

Saffron Amber, Agarwood, Cardamom ~ "Saffron more commonly associated with the cuisines of India, Morocco and Spain, fist appeared in Greece. It is Kozani in the northwest part of the country – that continues to produce the world’s finest saffron, an almost bitter-taste spice. With over 150 volatile and aroma-yielding compounds, Saffron’s original and seductive aroma has often been described by connoisseurs as reminiscent of metallic honey with grassy, hay-like notes..."

All three fragrances are available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (via korres)

One of each, please! (This is where you tell me they're $850 a bottle but only if you know the secret password.)

I'd like one of each too! They don't have “regular” names, just basically the list of notes is a name. I kind of like that, afterall it tells You what the fragrance is about right away.

I'm sorry to say I don't even know the prices…& don't think these are in the US as of yet.

I'd like it more if they'd kept the names shorter! And if they'd provided real descriptions of the fragrances instead of just definitions of the notes…but they do sound really nice.

The packaging looks great (as with all Korres products) and fragrances themselves sound promising, if only because they sound not too ambitious, relatively simple/minimalist. The jasmine could really hit the spot, I'm after a unisex/masculine white flower with no vanilla and no overdose of aldehydes – this might be it.

Korres are quite expensive in Australia, but very reasonably priced in Greece, which is to be expected I suppose. I should've stocked up more when I was there…

The “fragrance waters” weren't too badly priced here, but guessing these are going to be more…we'll see just how much more!

I love Korres products and am very happy to see these being released. The Jasmine one in particular catches my eye but they all sound good. And I suspect will be reasonably priced too. One slight gripe is the size…….

I think they should make a perfume with their Guava fragrance. i have used it in the shower gel and body lotion and it would be so nice in a spray also.

Yes, I wish they'd expand the body water range — that would be perfect for Guava!

All Korres perfumes are quite cheap here in Europe. You can get them for 26GB pounds/50ml. It’s cheap, isn’t it? I haven’t tried any of these yet, they don’t sell them in Poland, but I’m thing of a blind buy this time. I just love the one with peper and gaiac!
