(many thanks to Kevin, who is responsible for all the above except Allure!)
AHHHHH! COUTURE COUTURE FINALLY HAS A SCENT STRIP????? When I go to Target at 8 A.M for Mariah’s cd I’ll FINALLY smell it! I’ll be smelling Marc Ecko also! Thanks, Robin!
It’s one of those peel-away scent things (in the middle of the ad itself instead of along the edge of the paper).
This is a great roundup. I’ll have to look for that Vogue article. thanks!
My thanks to Kevin as well…he’s doing far more of it than I am!
Mariah’s actually doing an in-store appearance today at Macy*s Herald Sqaure, to promote the new scent and her new CD. She’ll be on the Main Floor, Cosmetics at 5:00 pm.
Oh, thanks so much…someone else mentioned that last week & I meant to post it. Will try to do that now.
As mentioned, I’ll definitely have to sneak a look at a friend/subscriber’s issue of Vogue for that article on Malle & Kurkdjian.
It does sound like the most interesting for the month.
So I read those articles last night. Kind of interesting: looks like Malle is opening a boutique in NYC, Kurkdjian will have a line of his products at Bergdorf, and both are doing quite a bit of home-scent type of stuff, including a Malle air-scenting device with a bevy of scents that don’t correspond to the personal fragrance line.
Neither boutique will help me any since I never seem to get to NY any more, but oh well!
Ugh! Left target, got Allure and NO COUTURE COUTURE! ALSO NO GQ!!!!! DARN IT!
Oh drat, are you sure? I do know the subscription issues are sometimes different than the newsstand, and sometimes there are also regional differences. In my mag, it’s p. 141.
I checked them twice. I’m sooooo freakin’ pissed! I knew it was too good to be true! I wanted to smell it 🙁
Gosh, I’ll send you mine…email me your mailing address!
Hey, Robin! Sent you my info! Thank You!
This is jumping ahead a bit, but the Nov. Glamour is out and has a 3-page piece on choosing a floral scent. (Though now that cold weather has arrived where I live, I’m less interested in florals and more drawn to woody scents that say fall/winter to me.)
Thanks so much, I”ll look for that! Although me too..I’m not after florals at the moment.
I didn’t realize that the November Glamour was out already – here’s what was in my October issue:

Thanks Cynthia! Interesting that they have 2 men’s strips, both mass market.
I thought that was kind of weird, too – but I guess that we’re getting close enough to the holiday season that they would want to bring it to the attention of women who might be looking for gifts?
Maybe that’s it. I’m trying to remember if I’ve *ever* seen a men’s strip in Allure. Can’t think of it, but then I do have a terrible memory.
Maybe they’ve either figured out than many women wear “men’s scents” or it’s the gift-giving thing because my latest Ulta circular/coupon showed up in the mail yesterday and it had a scent strip for Usher’s VIP (no, I didn’t sniff it).
