Etro Pegaso ~ new fragrance

Posted by Robin on 18 February 2009 14 Comments

Etro Pegaso fragrance Etro has redesigned the packaging for their entire fragrance line, adopting a black and white paisley pattern for the outer packaging, and is gearing up to launch their 22nd fragrance, Pegaso.

Pegaso is named for the line's symbol, the mythical winged horse known as the pegasus. The fragrance is meant to be an olfactory evocation of the villages of Tuscany, and features notes of bergamot, neroli, basil, pepper, iris, cedar, benzoin and cistus.

Etro Pegaso will be available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette. In conjunction with the launch, Etro will introduce a new book, Flower Power, featuring photography curated by designer Kean Etro. (via dellamoda.it, luxgallery.it)

Oooh, does this mean they'll be selling out the old packaging at a discount?

My first thought, too! Like the sound of the new one also.

One can hope! But it isn't a major bottle redesign so won't surprise me if not.

New design means new prices for usual… they'll get more expensive I guess? But it sounds seducing…

I hope they don't mess with their bottles. They are my favorite!

I pulled out my Shaal Nur — that bottle sure looks the same to me. If they changed it, it must have been very minor.

Hope not…everything Italian already costs an arm & a leg here.

Shaal Nur… that is a romantic-sounding name. Is it wonderful? Etro is a line I want to explore more, and not just because I like their bottles! I have Dianthus and once sniffed Messe de Minuit. That is the extent of my Etro experience. Would love to hear more about others…

Just remembered! I tried Anice, too, and liked it a lot.

    this sounds nice…
*all* of their packaging is going to be black and white?
At least they're still paisley. I like the paisley boxes and their bottles.

Pegaso i s a fresh a very intersting fragrance, just went from the Via Verri Etro parfume shop and my first impressions are quite good. fresh but not banal, very well made, Tuscan summer toughts, but not a citrus based, it gradually mute to something spicy. Well, even the shop have a new design, the bottles are the same with the silver instead of gold cap, new format for every fragrance 50ml and YES new prices. 50ml 74E and 100ml 97E.

p.s. I like Shaal Nur, it is somehow special, as well as Heliothrope, both of them I've got trough Ebay, they are very expensive.

    Bye.

Thank you so much, Savo, it sounds interesting! And very glad to see they're going to do everything in 50 ml.
