Posted by Robin on 26 November 2008 24 Comments

Comme des Garcons + H&M fragrance

Comme des Garçons has launched a new fragrance in conjunction with their recent fashion collection for H&M, the Swedish clothing retailer.

The woody unisex fragrance was developed by perfumer Shyamala Maisondieu, and features notes of bergamot, mandarin, Sichuan pepper, coriander, incense, juniper, cedar, patchouli, pine and labdanum.

Comme des Garçons + H&M is available in 30 ml Eau de Toilette for $34.90, and can be found at select H&M stores. (via osmoz, vogue.fr)

The notes, the price, and the house are right. I am going to try my best to sniff this one at Christmas when I am Indianapolis.

I think the CdG collection is limited edtion? If so, the fragrance might be too, and might be selling out — I really don't know.

I ordered this and expecting delivery next week. They're still selling on the website, but it is LE, just as the clothing line. Befriend a Swede and they might be able to get hold of a bottle for you. 🙂

Wow, in the age where scents are easily over the 135-165 range, seeing a price under 50 is so….. refreshing. 😛

Saw this announced a week or so ago. I love H&M even though there's not one near me — I'm pretty darned sure I'll be buying this (as long as a sniff isn't a disaster) in Cherry Hill when I'm in NJ for the holidays at the end of December. The list of notes sounds great on paper.

I also love that diecut swiss-cheesy box for some reason.

The notes sound lovely but the bottle leaves something(s) to be desired. I love H&M and for the price of their clothing line, you really can't beat the quality and style; however, I just can't imagine that a fragrance with their name on the bottle would be anything original or a must-have for me. I'll be grateful for the sniffing opportunity while perusing their attire, but if I leave with a bottle, I'll be quite surprised.

It's a far sight cheaper than the new CdG + Stephen Jones. I'd sure like to have that one for $35.

I don't even know if there's one near me. I'm so out of it.

I don't mind a cheap looking bottle when the fragrance is actually cheap. Have heard mixed things about this one so far, but CdG usually does a good job w/ scent so I'd like to try it.

Yeah, unfortunately they don't have online shopping in the US — you have to go to the store.

The price is lovely, esp. for CdG.

And a great way to introduce new buyers to the line with a reasonably-priced scent.

It really does sound rather nice- and the price is good! Anyone know where one could get a sample? I have learned the hard way to sample first, if possible!

    Thanks-

    CB

I'm new to posting here, but have been a long-time lurker. CdG is one of my favourite brands and I'd love to sniff this. I've never been in an H&M, though… I'm not even sure they have one in Vancouver!

Hi & welcome! Hope you'll manage to find some. Wondering if some of the other CdG retailers will pick it up, although I kind of doubt it.

Check the decanters — The Perfumed Court might have it, or possibly The Posh Peasant.

This is indeed a limited edition, and was sold out of the Dublin H&Ms within a fortnight.

It's like a primer to CdG scents (CdG 101!), with aspects of the Incense Series, the Synthetics Series and CdG 2 Man as well. It's perhaps closest to Ouarzazate, with hints of Hinoki too (though it's not as rich as Hinoki).

It's gorgeous, but doesn't project that much, and doesn't last long either. But at half the price of the Incense scents, it's no real burden to over-spray.

    Grab it while you can.

Just saw this in The Perfumed Court's list of “Arriving Soon.”
