Crabtree & Evelyn India Hicks Island Night ~ new perfume

Posted by Robin on 22 October 2008 14 Comments

Crabtree & Evelyn India Hicks Island Night fragranceCrabtree & Evelyn has launched India Hicks Island Night, an evening wear follow-up to last year's India Hicks Spider Lily. The fragrance "captures the essence of twilight in the islands - a mood of barefoot elegance in a topical garden lit only by the moon and stars".

Dramatic, midnight black glass flacon holds the fragrant essence of a moonlit tropical garden, captured in a floral heart of purple and white orchids, night blooming jasmine, green island palms and orange blossom nectar entwined with a soft woody musk accord.

Crabtree & Evelyn India Hicks Island Night is available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette and in matching body and home fragrance products. (via crabtree-evelyn)

“India, I cannot live with your fragrance!”
    (hee-heee! I'm just joshin' – I'm sure it's very nice. I just couldn't resist!)

I'm on my 3rd cup of tea, and still I don't get it. Please take pity and 'splain?

India is a judge on Bravo's Top Design and she gives the farewell to a contestant each week, “Contestant X, we cannot live with your design…”

Ah, don't know that show, thanks!! So I'm out of it but not entirely stupid, LOL…

I'm so sorry! I just got back on here and saw your response. Luckily somebody clarified.

She's actually very gracious about it, though I really don't like the tag line (better than Heidi's 'you are OUT', I guess). It's a really weird, fun show, with that crazy redhead with the incredibly bizarre fashion sense! The Fug Girls have a field day with her!

Heidi's 'you are OUT' is lost on me too. I am pathetic! If it isn't on one of my 3 shows, I don't know it.

But now the Fug Girls I do know! One of my favorite morning laughs.

“in fashion, you are either IN, or you're OUT” per Heidi Klum on Project Runway. When a contestant loses, they are OUT (Or “Auffed” as some of us like to say, since Heidi says Auf Weidersehen).

I cannot see the name Michael Kors anymore without hearing her saying “Top American designer Michael Kors”. lol

Now, I know that, but not Fug Girls!

Thanks! Everyone loves that show, don't they?

Go Fug Yourself — very biting & sarcastic criticism of celebrity fashion (the commentary is probably not to everyone's taste):

Oh dear, another thing to be obsessed with! lol – I only know who about a tenth of those people even are but I have always loved fashion blunders and looked forward to Mr Blackwell's (RIP) list every year. Now I can have it every DAY. Oicks.

I don't know who many of them are either, and unfortunately, they don't even always say — they just assume you know. Oh well. I just laugh at the commentary.

This Sounds quite nice! i do quite like her Spider Lily Fragrance and also adore Ms. Hicks as well! she's very Entrancing and Intelligent (despite what one may think from her “Top Design” Persona) But she does seem to have some knack for Perfumery. so i will give this a sniff when it arrives!

Don't know a darned thing about her, but Spider Lily was nice.

She's an English aristocrat related to the British Royal Family through her maternal grandfather, Earl Mountbatten of Burma.

Her father was David Hicks a celebrated interior designer in the 60s/70s hence the Top Design connection I guess.

She now lives & runs a hotel in the Bahamas with her husband.

There you go, more than you ever wanted to know about India Hicks. LOL

Oh, PS – She was also one of Princess Diana's bridesmaids.
