Humiecki & Graef Eau Radieuse, Askew, Geste and Multiple Rouge ~ new fragrances

Posted by Robin on 18 October 2008 20 Comments

Niche line Humiecki & Graef has introduced four new fragrances:

Eau Radieuse (shown) ~ "A fragrance about desire. A futuristic remake of an Eau de Cologne. Celestial spheres. Light. Total clarity. You yearn for ease and are transported to a wondrous place on an unknown planet." With notes of green banana, mandarin peel, lemon, mint leaves, rhubarb, bamboo sape [sic] accord.

Askew ~ "A fragrance about fury. The demolition of the classical men's fragrance. An abundance of fire and explosion, energy and virility." Featuring birch tar, cardamom, soft leather, ginger, grapefruit, vetiver and mimosa.

Geste ~ "A fragrance about intensity. A mature woman in love with a young man. The softness of a young beau's skin with the purity of a crisp white shirt, the sweetness of freshly baked bread, and the mystery maturity brings to love." The notes include soft amber, musky soft violet, soft petal and soft fir resin.

Multiple Rouge ~ A fragrance about folly and fun. Devil-may-care madness. A singular fruity note, a sort of futuristic wild strawberry. It is the moment when you forget the world around you, throwing caution to the wind, taking a dancing club with you." The notes: cinnamon, frozen orange, green pineapple, immortelle, cilantro, green violet, peach kernel and ozonic red berries freshness.

Humiecki & Graef Eau Radieuse, Askew, Geste and Multiple Rouge are available in 100 ml Eau de Toilette Concentrée. They can be found now at First in Fragrance in Germany. (via humieckiandgraef)

Frozen orange. Peach kernel. Ozonic red berries freshness.
Despite the explosive abundance of furious giggles reading this sape-y copy, I think Askew sounds kinda tasty.

    OMG! This is too much…

If there is a Prix Eau Faux 2009, I will contact Humiecki & Graef's ad copy writers and ask them to write the entry for me…

I will surely be the winner!

When I was reading this I was mentally completing the ad copy…My additions in CAPS…

Eau Radieuse”You yearn for ease and are transported to a wondrous place on an unknown planet WHERE A FURIOUS PERFUME HATING ALIEN AWAITS. SURPRISE!.”

Askew “A fragrance about fury…fire and explosion, energy and virility.” Featuring birch tar, cardamom, soft leather, ginger, GUNPOWDER, BURNT FUEL, DYNAMITE AND NITROGLICERIN!

No comments on the Geste and Multiple Rouge.. I restrain myself.

Jokes aside, The notes on all sound interesting, and the bottle cute in a retro-80's kind of way.

    Must've sounded better in German.

I am particularly taken with “ozonic red berries freshness” — that is a great name for a fragrance accord. These are the Skarb people, remember? The one that captured “how men cry”? These new descriptions actually can't compare with that one.

LOL!!! As i read this i kept saying to myself wow the writers for Humeicki must have read the Prix Eau Faux and decided to play a joke on us. This is the best for description for sure. Despite that I want to try the fragrances. I curious about l ozonic red berries and soft petals( as opposed to hard ones) ?? green banana! I was just smelling the green ones from costco but all I smell is the plastic bag…. I wished this was in the US.

Thanks for reminding us these are the Skarb people. Now it all makes sense! (slaps forehead) Seriously, they could be interesting, and would love to hear from people who have tried them.

I agree with March in that Askew piques my interest, though probably not enough to hunt down a sample. Skarb didn't do much for me at all, though I really wanted to like it because of the backstory.

Yes, they could be interesting. Will wait til they get to the States, but I'm sure I'll try them eventually. I didn't love Skarb, but it was better than its ad copy. I do notice that they're not announcing the names of the noses this time — Christophe Laudamiel did Skarb, IIRC.

They'll get here, I'm sure — I think Luckyscent had Skarb.

They all sound good to me, except maybe Multiple Rouge. I thought Skarb was ok, just not fabulous. That said, I can't remember it now at all…

Well, since I have a massive crush on a guy half my age, I will have to get Geste! Think it will help? lol

It can't hurt. Men are purported to like foody smells, so the bread might work for you. Good luck! Just remember – sometimes you do have to talk. :-)

Oy – is it just me or does the Multiple Rouge sound like my worst perfume nightmare?

The others sound quite interesting though, especially the Geste. I can identify with that. :-)

Strawberry doesn't appeal to me either, even when it's futuristic.
